i am in the process of sending the following message to my 80 odd friends/subscribers/subscriptions on youtube.

You may not be aware, but Green Day's main fan forum, www.greendaycommunity.org, is taking part in an online-inter-forum competition. Each forum submits a playlist into Absolute Radio (a british radio station) and all forums are put together in a knock-out competition. Currently, Green Day are up against the forum of Pink Floyd in the final. The winning forum shall have an entire radio show dedicated to them and their band, and it would be great if green day win this.

All you have to do, is go to this link http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/music/rockoff/fixtures.html, click on 'The Rock-Off Vote', on the right hand side, choose green day and carry on to vote.

Although each individual can only vote once, it doesn't have to stop there. Tell all your friends on Myspace, youtube Bebo, Livejournal, Facebook tell them to vote green day and pass it on to their friends, like a massive chain letter (which doesn’t involve being haunted, seeing your crushes name or your mum dying!), but you get the idea.

so go do it, the entire green day fan base depends on, coz every vote counts!

I voted, I think I got 6-7 of my friends to vote, I didn't tell some cause I'm afraid they'll vote PF to piss me off (Not exactly friends)

Greenday vs Pink Floyd - there is no comparison. Just some unoriginal shite American nu rock band, against one of the most original and influential rock bands of all time. Floyd gets my vote.

at work, when i vote, i go through the usual procedure of putting in the code thingy and click vote, but instead of giving me the latest percentages like normal when you vote, and the message about one vote per person, it comes up with another little voting form thing, with another code to put in, it just keeps coming up with that every time. i guess that it isn;t counting the votes. any thoughts?

Kind of the same with me, but I would be tempted to vote Pink Floyd because they are a pretty good band. But I think I love Green Day more than them and listen to Green Day more. But because it is GDC against thiers. There is no choice; my vote goes for GDC.
