Last night I had a dream that Pink Floyd fans came out of the woodwork with half an hour left to vote. So many PF fans infact that GDC eventually lost the vote with .2% of the vote.

that sounds familiar.

66.1-33.9 to us.

i was thinking of the cold play vote the other night.

How is what I said like the Coldplay vote?

I said Green Day had .2% of the vote. Meaning Pink FLoyd would have 99.8%

Coldplay vote was very tight.

Well it is and I just pre-ordered my copy wooooooooooooooooooooot :D

i might do. but ill wait til a name and release date is confirmed before i do anything, so i know its genuine.

To Green Day :eyebrows:

Is it just me or have they turned the Purple-Black buttons into Gray-Blue?? Green Day's gray now...I wish we had the blue, though.

Sorry, I couldn't find anything interesting to say.

The way we're going so far we should beat pink floyd. Our percentage is slipping slow enough

Hopefully we didn't all vote yet. I can't bear to think that they've got a couple hundred more voters and we're capped out.

Don't worry. I'm sure we have reinforcements in hand as well.

We're creeping up very very slowly. Now at 66.8%

Call me freakish, but I've made some calculations...

21 hours and 30 minutes ago, I kept an eye on the voting...

21h30m ago, Pink Floyd had 20%

11 hours and 30 minutes later (10 hours ago), they had 25%, a raise of 5%

Recalculated : their percentage of votes is rising at 0.4347826 % per hour (During those 11h30m)

so,

10 hours ago, the vote for Pink Floyd was 25%

Now, 10 hours later, they have 33.1% of the votes.

Recalculated : their percentage of votes is rising at 0.81% per hour (During those 10 hours)

Conclusion:

They've doubled up their increase of votes.

so, if they keep on doing this, they'll sure overpower us.

(Interesting fact: Their percentage kept on rising, even though we aswell rounded up new votes.)

(another interesting fact: I wonder how they do it. Mathemetical it's almost impossible: let's say 2000 Pink Floyd Forum members are ready to vote.

Voting starts, we lead by 85%... (they have 15%) after a short burst of votes, they catch up and have 20% (see the start of above calculation).

For a lot of GD members already voted at this point in time (that's just a fact), let's say we had a 1000 vote lead. We are gathering votes, and I'm sure NPF is doing the same. Still their percentages keep on rising. This can only mean one thing. Somehow, they only spent 250 votes(20% of the poll votes from the total 100% votes entered) in the first hours or so. Slowly they are adding to their count, and I'm sure this can't only be random friends and youtube/myspace visitors..)

See my point?

EITHER they are rising their percentage with their own forum members (but that's extremely hard to do (I'd like to see you hold back 1500 votes 'for later on')) --> So they have an enormous plot OR system they follow.

OR they are now holding back ALL their forum votes, are letting current percentages rise by random friends, youtube myspace(at least 0.81% better than we pick out random friends(See Calculations)) --> so we can expect the whole forum voting in the near future.

OR They have already used most of their forum votes, but that seems to be unrealistic, look at the Last-Minute spur against James. (and James' fanbase is large aswell..)

Draw your conclusions, GDA members... I hope this 'll all work out great, and I REALLY hope my calculations are incorrect..

Any comments?

EDIT: 40 minutes ago: 32.8% for NPF

now, 33.4%

Recalculated: their percentage of votes is rising at 2.1% per hour (During those 40 minutes)

Thanks for those calculations- one more thing to have on my mind today honestly.

:)

Wow, reading the last part makes me feel like we're in some war instead of a voting. Intricate stratigies indeed, but maybe we have one as well?

Give me the new stats.

Well his calculations have sort of been put on hold as we've climbed up 2% overnight.

Now at 67.1 to 32.9

Don't you love us though :D

I've just got a few friends to vote.

Everything can happen, Andres.

I don't want us to be in the same situation as James were.

It's better to be sceptical and be nicely surprised later, than to celebrate prematurely.
