My parents loath green day. Say it encourages all the wrong things. I laughed. They really hate billie cuz he's bi. I was like wtf!? I'm bi hate me for it? my mom watched the intro with billie talking she said she was done. Dad was just like I don't want to watch it. I have the vids on my ipod now so even through they threw away bullet in a bible I still have everything :P They luckily don't check my Ipod cuz they threw out all my CDs though since then I got american Idoit back and burned the rest. They went through a phase of this "Must destroy" deal with linkin park back when I listened to them alot.

My parents have never seen it. I haven't seen it in a good couple of years. It's no big issue.

Some of you have very weird parents... No offense, or anything...

well, considering my dad gave his copy to me after watching it, i don't think they mind

My mom would laugh so hard, she would call him gay though

i edited it for them to watch (i.e. only let them watch "BOBD" and "Good Riddance") :)

I was watching it and my mom came and it was close to the part where Billie starts making.. mh, weird noises.

So I skipped it and she was like, 'why did you changed it?'

me: boring part.

and my dad.. well, he was watching TV and it was on People&Arts, I think.. and he yelled: ''Bullet in a Bible is on!!"

that was funny :P

i've just watched it with my dad and he was like: "They're pretty good" :D

Didn't show them, I don't even think they know what exactly it's a dvd of...

And I'm not so sure whether I want them to know

They don't know it exists, which is a good thing.

They hate Green Day. That's probably why I won't be able to go to a concert.

:(

wow

poor you :(

I watched it with my mom.

She loves to insult them.

She shook her head, if I remember correctly.

And dad said that Billie looks "as queer as a two-dollar bill".

Oh the irony.

Hmm, I believe there are some very nieve(?) spelling sorry, parents.

I love them. I wished other parents weren't so quick to judge, and be closed to what they don't understand.

I think a great chance to talk with their kids and listen to another perspective to things.

*Communication and understanding and consideration...Yeah , it helps totally

Yeah, my dad sad somethin' in this style too :D

Generally, my parents can't stand the music I like, so they just learned to ignore it :D.

Just watched it downstairs while my parents were home..

Father: "wow, those things are big!" (prolly about the huge warning-man sign thingies)

Mother: *walks by with fingers in ears*

Sister (9), when Billie is standing up at King For A Day: "why is he lying on the ground?"

and sister at the start of BOBD, when you see the little film of the guys walking: "are they sad?"

that was the only times they cared about it, for the rest they didn't watch, only said that I had to put the volume down several times.

I'm forcing them to watch it with me tomorrow, it might enlarge my chances of being allowed to go to a GD concert abroad

Not a word about the music itself

though I skipped a certain part at Hitchin' a Ride (:

Hahaha! I know what you mean. Once I turned volume down when my father was in the room next door :P

My parents mainly saw just parts of it. My dad doesn't say bad things about them, though he says guys with eye-liner are gay, (when he saw Gerard Way and the other day when he saw BJ) but that doesn't upset me anymore. I know better :)

And my mum.. yeah my mum. She can't stand ANY music I listen to so... :/ .. but then again.. I don't like hers and I can stand my father's music very well

What happens on Hitchin' a Ride??

Is the "Shite!" part?

Well if that's the case I have nothing to worry about..... my parents do not understand a word of english :P

That's why I can listen to music with the "Explicit Content" label at full volume!

Posted

well they both love some gd songs, though my mom doesn't understand english [sadly just few things like 'fuck' etc] so she's like-"dear god, billie is too hyperactive" [st jimmy part] he's probably on some drugs blah blah... and backstage parts, and songs like hitchin a ride, king for a day/shout... she's like-"you shouldn't watch this", but she stops at the moment she hears good riddance or wmuwse =P -her fav songs =D
