Nikki_Nimrod Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 lol, to my complete surprise my mom LOVES it! In fact she made me stay up late one night, even though i was exhausted, because she wanted me to watch it with her & then she showed it to her friend when she came over, it was quite funny.Although i always fast forward through the masturbation scene, and tell her the DVD skips (lol, she isn't good with technology) I'm not sure how she'd react to that.My dad's seen bits and pieces of it, i think he thinks it's pretty cool.
Isabel Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm trying to imagine my parents' reaction to seeing Hitchin' A Ride on that DVD. But they're quite the accepting folk so I can't see it being an issue
fletcher-999 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 My dad is'nt really that botherd, he knows I like Green day so he does'nt really care about it although Hitchin with the funny parts he simply said " well at least you like them " something tells me he was'nt keen on Billie's antics
-Billiejoezee- Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Ha my mom took photos of when billie mooned us at the concerts.
Sarahnade. Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 My dad has never really watched it; he's come in sometimes while I've been watching it, but just during the performance, and never really said much. I got it the day it came out, and couldn't wait to watch it, and I didn't really think about it being inappropriate since I was like 11, haha. My mom was watching it with me, and everything was pretty good until we hit Hitchin' a Ride and..yeah. My mom didn't like that all that much. She loves Green Day, and thinks Billie is adorable and all, but she probably didn't want her 11 year old daughter to see a grown man masturbate on stage. Oh well.

-Billiejoezee- Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 me and my whole family watched it during a party.
ANJI Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 lol I had to forward the part where Billie puts his hands down his trousers Didn't like the look on my mum's face when she saw that
Sarahnade. Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Sometimes, I forget my parents are in the room or something, and I'll be watching Hitchin' a Ride, and Billie will start his moaning, and I'm like OMG OMG FAST FORWARD STOP BILLIE CALM YOURSELF.

gusgd Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 hahaha, I would NEVER let my parents watch this. They would be like "WTF?"I don't even want to imagine what they would say. I never watch BIAB when they're around. Not that I care too much about what my parents think about Green Day, but it's just not cool. I'd be totally embarrassed.

Snorri Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I think that if they would watch it, they would really like it My dad kinda likes Green Day. He even owns the American Idiot CD and teaches guitar. He even taught some kid some song of American Idiot. And my mom finds everything funny that normal teenagers find funny She would totally laugh if she saw Billie inside his pants
BrickOfSelfControl1995 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 my dad likes it a lot and my mom thinks green day copies the beatles and every other ancient musician lol
minorty13 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I remember my mom walking in during hitchin a ride...she said "that's digusting and WRONG! no one wants to see that!"... I do mom.... Then he did it LIVE in SLC while I was there with my mom. It was right after he had brought his mama on stage and he screamed "I'M SORRY MOM!"

melodramaticfool_ Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 My mum has watched Bullet In A Bible, she loves the whole thing. She thinks Green Day is amazing. When we watch it, mum sits there singing along and laughing at Billie Joe. I saw them on Friday night in Sydney and she said that she was so envious of me because i was going and she wasn't. And when she picked me up and i had Billie Joe's pick, she went crazy and told everyone. But yeah, at the HAR ride part.. mum just sat there and kept watching. she's a pretty cool mum. hahaha
*Megan* Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 When I first got BIAB I was semi-embarrassed about the whole touching himself thing. Now I'm 19 and live out of home so I don't give a fuck what she thinks lol.She doesn't like Green Day really. She likes, oh what are they called, fucking Stereophonics. Thats it.
catarina. Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 my mom never saw the WHOLE thing but she says they are amazing live. when billie joe starting oooh and oooooh an oooooooooooooh my mom was laughing really loud XDmy dada came to see me home while i was watching that exact part and he just screamed from the hallway WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WATCHING? then he saw it was just green day was just say «how can they let these kids buy this»
tvrman Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I find these threads amusing, I mean rock n roll has been around for over 50 years. eg my mum was in a band in the 1950s. My son & daughter's Dad loves Green Day's music. tvrman
violeta Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 well my mom really likes them, and she always watch them on MTV, but i don't think that she knows about BIAB...my dad...well he is really sceptical, i don't why o.o
Harriet Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I made my mum watch a part of it the other day and she started dancing around in my room She saw the part where Tre is naked and I believe her words were "Ew that's horrible!"
