Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I got my parents to watch some parts. they've now seen AI, St. Jimmy (mum: "I like this!". ), Basket Case, King For A Day ("they know their classics" "he's an entertainer" "they're like the tougher(wrong translation) versions of Robbie Williams, entertaining the crowd" ), WMUWSE (my father actually recognised it, and my mum was singing along, but only the sentence wmuwse), Good Riddance, and the 'backstage part' where they talk about Tre (they even found him funny!).and they asked "have they had any big hits" -"yeah, quite much.." -"but I mean, like really big hits" -"yeah, quite much, like AI, Holiday, wmuwse...." -"I wanna see those, than." -"you just saw one of them, the first one, and this is one too...(during basket case). in 94, but still" -"yeah, you sure remember that like it was yesterday, the big hits from 94 ". *sigh*
Luci_Minority Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 My parents only see some parts on youtube but no HAR But my mom want to come this year at the Green Day concert...uhm...I don't know what she will think...
Ally Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 My parents only see some parts on youtube but no HAR But my mom want to come this year at the Green Day concert...uhm...I don't know what she will think...my mums going too, and my dad, and my best friend, and my other friend, and another...we have a coach load i think who want to go, but i'm only getting 7 tickets max cos i can't fit any more in the car so some will be disappointed.but is good job none of them mind billies playfulness on stage.
dagiff Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Well my dad was at the concert with me, so I don't think he minds And I'm not sure if my mum's watched it, not sure I'd choose to watch it with her though lol
IzButt Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Well the last time she saw a little bit with me.My mom giggled when Billie mooned the crowd during King For A Day. And then she turned off the DVD and gasped when he started doing his thing on stage during Hitching A Ride. And then I said "HE CAME BUCKETS I TELL YOU YOU TURNED IT OFF BEFORE OH MY GOD"/sarcasm/ and my brother and I started laughing. And she started asking how many time's I've seen that part without telling her and then she was like, "Oh well. You've seen worst in R movies than that." But she thought Tre was really cute in BIAB.That pretty much sums it up for my mom. I just hope he doesn't play with himself again when they start touring because I know my mom. Although I am going to warn her when the time comes.
NowhereBound Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 My parents have never seen it and i think it should stay that wayMy parents only see some parts on youtube but no HAR But my mom want to come this year at the Green Day concert...uhm...I don't know what she will think...Same here, my Dad has seen a little bit but not Hitchin A Ride either, and my Dad said he'll take me to a concert and i said they might be inappropriate and he said no they won't...so i want to go bad, but i don't no what to do!
LDM_300 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 bahahaha my mom had to go through all of that in person she scoffed alot and told everyone she could about HAR I don't think she'll go with me again to another GD concert again . Neither of my parents have seen BIAB though
Comrade Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I don't get how the Hitchin' A Ride bit gets awkward with parents. He isn't actually pleasuring himself....My parents just thought it was funny. Turns out my dad had tried smoking lettuce too....
Dylan. Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 My mom loves them. She has seen it multiple times. My dad isn't as big of a fan. He says I spend too much of my time listening to them. Which is crap!!! They are on my iPod. I listen to them once in a while...(I used to listen to them all the time but then I had to force myself to expand musically). Now my iPod is broken so the only time I listen to them ever right now is on iTunes or on Playlist.comDad: "Wow that little man has tons of energy.""little man..." lol
EverybodyLovesCheech Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Well, my mum heard the live King For A Day over my CD player, and the comment:"What's that? It sounds like a circus!">.>My parents are hardcore Christians, anti-drink anti-drugs anti-tatts anti-swearing people.Somehow I don't think I'll be showing them Bullet any time soon.Either they'll be shocked and I'll die cause they'll kill me, or they'll die and I'll be shocked cause GREEN DAY INADVERTEDLY KILLED MY PARENTSIt's like Laurie L but backwards...:]My parents hate Green Day anyway. They wouldn't want to watch it. I'm safe.
hannahhh Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 my dad just watches it with me. no comments, really.
Nele Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Dad: "Wow that little man has tons of energy."My mom said exactly the same thing. And "Poor little man." When Billie is singing WMUWSE.
stxrlesseyes Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 My Dad thinks it's hilarious for some reason.Especially during King For A Day
musse Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 My dad likes GD and we've watched bullet in a bible together a couple of times. he thinks they are a nice rock band and that they sound good live. my mom doesn't like gd at all and she finds bullet in a bible very annoying...
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I have to force them to watch it, but they don't think it's bad...A couple of days ago I got my mom to watch it with me, as long as she could read her magazine at the same time. She even was humming along, and sometimes humming some sort of the 2nd voice or some 'freestyle'-like thingy, and it sounded good! It didn't add anything to the songs, but it did sound good. *proud at mom*
Beathe. Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Dad: "Wow that little man has tons of energy."So true. My parents are hardcore Christians, anti-drink anti-drugs anti-tatts anti-swearing people. They sound nice.
