Ingrid Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Dookie.Hate it.Hate is such a strong word ... why?
greendepent Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 sorry, but I can't choose oneevery album has something special, but I listen more Nimrod in the last timeI think that the name of the topic maybe says "who are the albun that you more listen?" or something like that
Radioactive1 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Hate is such a strong word ... why?Yeah, it's strong but it's true. I've listened to it like 3 times in the past 8 years.Dunno, just don't really like the songs on there. Probably only like "When I Come Around". I can understand where they were coming from when they wrote it and everything but dunno, I've never liked it.I voted for Warning, although I love it. I love them all,but Warning's still the one I listen the least. Are we listening different dookies See we clearly differ. Warning is my favourite
Kimpsu Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 See we clearly differ. Warning is my favourite Clearly When I Come Around is my least favorite off Dookie
Hermione Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 oh snap! nimrod is one of the great ones.i got my friend to listen to green day because of this cd.Hell yes, and good recruiting work! Nimrod is the best
thisisAB Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 ^I don't think there's any possible way it could be like Warning. Apparantly "Cigarettes and Valentines" was like some kind of watered-down version of Warning-type songs, and they chucked that right in the bin! It's not like them to go backwards and rehash old albums anyway, that's not their style. It'll be new and fresh I love Warning though It is possible, yeah it's not like them, but on the vids of Billie playing the songs sounded like some of Warning, esp that Misery-like song (ewwwwwwww Misery ) I'd really like to hear Cigarettes and Valentines though, REALLY!! It's the 'lost' album and I really want to hear it. is it possible they will release it as the new album (with a different name)
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 For the earlier Lookout Record ones, I say 1039/SOSH. It's kinda...corny and kinda too raw (in the sense that it sounds like someone was banging saucepans together, since the sound quality is all funky). But for the stuff after they signed with Reprise, I'd say Dookie. I find the album itself a little weak. The majority of the songs are good (the singles, Having A Blast, FOD, She), but the rest of the songs are kinda boring and repetitive.
Hermione Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It is possible, yeah it's not like them, but on the vids of Billie playing the songs sounded like some of Warning, esp that Misery-like song (ewwwwwwww Misery ) I'd really like to hear Cigarettes and Valentines though, REALLY!! It's the 'lost' album and I really want to hear it. is it possible they will release it as the new album (with a different name)Yeah you're right, it's true that song sounded Misery-like, I'd forgotten about that. But to me, the music in that clip overall sounded more like American Idiot - it sounded kind of loud and like it had the potential to be really epic and ambitious. So maybe the tune just happened to sound a bit like Misery, but the actual sound of the album will be totally different. This is just a guess based on a couple of seconds of half-done music of course
gmcloughlin Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I voted Warning because I prefer their other stuff.Still an amazing album though. Think of minority, waiting, macy's day parade, etc.
Morgaine Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hmm I swear there was a thread like this, but whatever Shenanigans, most definitely. I've tried to make myself like it more by listening to it every day (it works in most of the cases for me ), but I failed. The only songs I like from this album are Suffocate and Ha Ha You're Dead, these are great indeed.EDIT: Hey, why there's no Shenanigans on the poll list..? I'm not voting if it's not there, hmph.
MrGreenDayUK Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 1039/SOSH, so sloppy and fucking-lovey-dovey superficial shit that I just can't relate to any of it anymore.
badwolf Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 i voted 1039 SOSH but my least fav really is Shenanigans..... but it wasnt on the list I love all the CD's on that list 1039/SOSH, so sloppy and fucking-lovey-dovey superficial shit that I just can't relate to any of it anymore.agreed but i like that about it, so not really agreed.... why im confuzzled!
Morgaine Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 ^Shit, I know this is a complete offtopic, but omg you like InuYasha!!
virysya Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But if I had to choose it would be 1,039/sosh
Solitary One Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 How the hell could I have a least favorite Green Day album?!?! They are all so damn good, I don't understand how ANYONE could start a thread like this. Ok, maybe I can, because not everyone likes all of Green Day's albums as much as I do. Each one means something different to me, along with eavh and every song. Billie Joe writes great songs, that mean many things to me, and usually they help me through the rougher parts of life, they cheer me up. So that's the reason I like Green Day so much, they have meaningful, catchy songs for every mood.
Ally Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 insomniac, prob cos thats the one i have listened to the least out of them all apart from 1039, but i like that one more than insomniac for some reason. Don't get me wrong i love all of them, they are all close, but if i really had to choose i think insomniac would be the least fave by about 0.001%
billie-joe-geek72 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I like them all a lot.But if I had to choose one, I'd say 1039.
Greenday_Aussie Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Wow...out of those I dunno, where is Shannies!I really dont know...
Hermione Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 ^ Lol I approve of the word "Shannies" . I'd say it doesn't really count though, a random collection of songs that weren't considered good enough for proper albums is bound to not be as good.
Princess Consuela Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 It turns out I've already voted in this poll but have no idea which album I chose So right now I'd vote Insomniac Just because I listen to it the least (except 86 and Stuart). But I love it anyway
belinda jane Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 hmm, probably 1039.i just don't listen to it as much as the others.
