I picked American Idiot. It's just a great song that sets the mood really great for the album and makes you want to hear more.

It was between that, Burnout, Warning and Nice Guys. They're all so great!

At the libary or American idot, both are very different but both have their own perks.

American idoit, is so bold and explosive. And has such meaning to it, when i first hear it it sent 1'000 thoughts around my head.

At the libary, becasue i love how different it sounds. And i like the lyrics, easy to relate to at this moment in my life.

Burnout Burnout Burnout!!

I think for their major label debut, this song is just so powerful. As a 13 year old this hit me freaking hard, the line "I declare I don't care no more". It sucked me in and completely changed my world. It made me fall in love with Green Day instantly. And it sets the tone of the record so perfectly.

I love Armatage Shanks and Burnout. Both songs are full of anger and pessimism and I love that. It tells the listener that the album's no bed of roses.

This is a great question--dunno if I can answer it though. I love the way every single album opens, the songs always set the record's tone so well.

Definitely Burnout. Like Leisha-Luna said, the words "I declare I don't care no more" are so punk, and they set the in-your-face tone for the album perfectly. I love those little drum segments in the song too.
