The last time I did listen to them was when I was recording for the audio contest with the FBHT songs in the bkg.

I think it was about a year and a half ago driving around.

So I've been listening to AI a lot the last two days or so, the thoughts of rage and love have been weighing heavily on my mind (which is why I think I had to make my new signature, just to release some of it lol). I've had hands down the most fortunate and life changing experience of my life this week, a culmination of the last 9 months.. all I can say is I am truely grateful for the people close to me in this world. ANYWAY, the whole build-up to this point has had rage and love on my mind. Then today I decided to chop up my vinyl LP of AI and turn it into art for my living room (for anyone who has never seen it, there is an incredible inlay in the album, each side has a fist with the words rage and love tattooed on each of their fingers, reaching through a link fence). But before I could chop it up, I had to call the local record shop and order a new copy; it'll be here in a week.

end rant.

idk i think i heard a song in the car, it might've been welcome to paradise.

i'm on a green day diet currently.

if i listen to my favorite band alot, eventually i'll get bored.

so by not listening to them, it just wants to me to listen more.

and then eventually i'll watch some live concerts which will spark the excitement.

sounds weird, but it isn't.

Nawh, that makes sense :) I think a lot of people are like that. I know I am.

That makes sense to me too, but I'm the opposite. Somehow I never get tired of any Green Day songs. It doesn't make any difference how many times I listen to them, I still enjoy them just as much every time. And even now I still notice new little things about them, and think new thoughts about the lyrics.

I think I've listened to Green Day pretty much every single day for the last 3 1/2 years, since the day I first realised how amazingly fantastic they are. I can't imagine ever going on a Green Day diet, I can't get enough of 'em :D

yeah, i've been listening to Green Day since i was a small child.

my sister is and was obsessed with them since she was in 5th grade, it spread to my family.

i remember listening to Brain Stew in the car when i was wee little, and "jammin'" out as my mom says.

i just need to hear new stuff, i've only been waiting two years.

I listen to them quite a bit when I'm drawing...they're good inspiration

i have a bad habbit of listening to them when im doing homework.

maybe that's why im not remembering the lesson the next day  oh well!

with the whole "green day diet" thing, i remember there was this point about 2 & 1/2 years ago. i was just sitting there with my one little AI album and i was growing sick of the same 13 songs over and over and over., i felt like some poser and questioned myself as a fan.

maybe that's why im a big fan now- every time i bought a new album it re-kindled the flame. i bought the last one i needed last November, and then FHT came out. when that faded out on here, i got into PHGP. its sort of like they've never been on break for me.

[/end of babble]

That's wicked, you must've been a cool little kid :D. I wish I'd gotten into them earlier, all those wasted years!

Yeah, hearing new stuff is gonna be epic. But the shexy Foxboro stuff is keeping me more than happy for now.

I am listening to them now. I haven't in aaaaaaages, so I am liking this, I have my GD playlist on shuffle.

i listened to greenday about an hour ago in my jazz class, were doing a dance to boulevard of broken dreams:)

^Oh my god, that's awesome. I love just hearing Green Day played in public at all, like in the pub or by a busker - it gives me a buzz every time . But to do a proper choreographed dance to it would be spectacular!

i was driving with my sister, making fun of this Prius (sp?) and we heard When I Come Around.

yeah, i was pretty sick.

i look the same only taller and less chubby since then.

i'm not a big fan of Foxboro Hot Tubs, i just don't enjoy the sound, same with Pinhead.

^ i can sort of understand how you wouldn't like FHT (although i love them very much so im not agreeing with you)

but Pinhead Gunpowder reminds me a little too much of the Kerplunk and 1039/sosh days- which is why it's gotten under my skin this much! :D

i really like what i've heard so far.

----

as for listening to green day, i usually listen to them on youtube if im surfing the net. which is about 80% of the time.

I'm typing this right now. haha... I'm listening to 'Extraordinary Girl' which is a great one. Not my favorite, but the drums at the beginning are awesome, and they make my face smile. So it's a good one to be listening to when I wake up from a nap hehe

...oh, and I read a reply a page or 2 or 3 back that said something about the last 'special' thing... I listening to it the entire time I was getting my Green Day tattoo. Not just cause I was getting a GD tattoo, but because I was freaking petrified...

I can't understand why anyone doesn't like the Rev & co., unless they're insane :P

That's awesome that you like Pinhead Gunpowder, I remember it was pretty great discovering them myself a couple of years ago. If you haven't got all the albums yet I can tell you they're all brilliant, and most of them have cool artwork and little bits of writing in the booklet, so they're well worth getting

Listened to American Idiot from start to finish just now while doing a massive amount of washing up.

I just listened to She's a rebel. I was reading a DN fanfic.
