drugstore hooligan Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Everything before Dookie is underrated. And everything after Dookie but before AI is underrated.

Malleus Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Sorry to say this, but havent we heard any kind of song being called underratet?? Maybe its just Green Day that are underratet? I dunno. I just think that Green day dont get the attention that they should have!! (Exept for BOBD) uh...what?
Nikkilite Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 uh...what? i dont know! I just think that Green Day are way better than most people make it! (Not the fans of course )
ThibautDookie Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Deadbeat Holiday is pretty underated, i think that they never played it live. It's an awesome song, one of the best songs of Warning.
Vic_Rattlehead Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Haushinka, the key change on the bridge gives me shivers As for album, I would say Warning.
That Dude Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 one word: Shenanigans! I was reading about that album online and turns out, the band went on a tour to promote it, yet on the tour they never played single song from the album. And even to this day, I don't think they've ever played any of the songs.....Ok, they played Don't Wanna Fall in Love twice in California (according to Setlilst.fm).....and that's it. "Ha Ha You're Dead" is one of their best. so are "Do Da Da" "Rotting" "Sick of Me" "Suffocate"......heck there is only a few songs on the album that are not super great. I think "i wanna be on TV" is one of my least favorite Green Day tracks.
ThaDisapperingBoy Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Disapearing Boy!! Worlds most awesome song and totally underrated!!
ThibautDookie Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 The early albums ( 39 Smoothed and Kerplunk ). Insomniac Warning Shenanigans
BradGreenDay Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 1039/sosh Kerplunk Shenanagans Also Warning And Some Songs Off Insomniac...
frunsi Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I think "i wanna be on TV" is one of my least favorite Green Day tracks. that song is a cover of a band called Fang. i like it a lot though.
Justin Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 This is a tricky question... One of the songs that really got me into Green Day was 86 all those years ago, yet the song never gets played or a mention. My joint fav song with Pasalcqua is Waiting, why the guys hardly play it live in beyond me, everyone went crazy at Wembley when they finally did Odd choice however, I actually love Whatsername, its such an epic song, the build up and the harmonies are amazing. I would probably die with excitement if they play it live again

I think "i wanna be on TV" is one of my least favorite Green Day tracks. They probably haven't played any songs from Shenanigans because it's a collection of b-sides from Dookie to Warning. Not that the b-sides aren't great, they just normally play album tracks. Anyway, I'd say pretty much all of 39/Smooth, Kerplunk! (with the exception of "Welcome to Paradise"), and Warning; "Armatage Shanks," "Brat," "Bab's Uvula Who?," and "Tight Wad Hill" from Insomniac; "Scattered," "Worry Rock," "Last Ride In," "Jinx/Haushinka," ah Hell, most of Nimrod; "Song of the Century," "¡Viva la Gloria!" (the first one), "Last Night on Earth," and "Restless Heart Syndrome" from 21st Century Breakdown; "Angel Blue" and "Rusty James" from ¡Uno!; "Makeout Party," "Baby Eyes," and "Nightlife" from ¡Dos!; and "Missing You," "A Little Boy Named Train," and "Amanda" from ¡Tré!. For the most part, Dookie, American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown, ¡Uno!, and ¡Tré! seem fairly credited.

musso_kn Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 No one ever acknowledges that I wanna be on TV is the most awesome cover they've ever done.
WhiteTim Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 No one ever acknowledges that I wanna be on TV is the most awesome cover they've ever done. Well it'd be hard to make it a bad song The Fang are an awesome band
Cob Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 No one ever acknowledges that I wanna be on TV is the most awesome cover they've ever done. I don't know, their cover of "A Quick One While He's Away" by The Who is pretty fucking amazing. They fit into that song perfectly. I would have to say that Warning is by far their most underrated album. On this forum though, 39/Smooth, Kerpunk, and Dookie are greatly underrated. In my opinion, an underrated song would probably be "See The Light." Now that I think about it, "Know Your Enemy" also fits that niche nicely. I find the Trilogy to be vastly underrated critically, but that's a different discussion altogether.

X-Kid-X Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 The most underrated album is obviously 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. The song... probably Misery OR You Lied.
