Caractériel Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Warning is an underrated album I think. Obviously, most big Green Day fans love it, and rightly so, but in terms of mainstream impact it didn't do very well and even lead to rumours that they were past their prime. If you look at the songs included on that album you will see there are some absolute gems on there. Minority is a hell of a tune, as is Church on Sunday, Macy's Day Parade and Castaway. I personally love the acoustic feel to the album and it was a nice change of pace. I know a lot of people say that its their least favourite Green Day album and I can't figure out why really. Insomiac is another one that doesn't get mentioned enough, but I know a lot of people who love that album. Especially fans of more punky music.
PasalacquaBomb Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 insomniac is their most underrated album i think .. and warning .. i can't understand why everybody thinks it's their worst ...
Bubbles. Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 There are too many, but the first one that comes to mind is Letterbomb... I agree. And for albums, definitely Warning and Insomniac.
Rage & Love. Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Album: I think Shenanigans because, people don't realize that, that album, was so fuckin punk rock, but everyone thought it was complete wank because it hardly sold, nor did it have many singles released from it.
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 i think Kerplunk is underrated. and songs like Letterbomb, JAR, Westbound Sign, Shes A Rebel, Burnout and lot more
Caractériel Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 In terms of underrated songs. Letterbomb definitely, it should have been a single. I can only imagine how awesome that video could have been. I kinda like it being a low key song, It means I can enjoy it without it being ruined by constant radio play. Stuck With Me is another song you don't hear much about, despite it being a single. Its a hell of a song. Wish they would play it live more often.
Izzard Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I think Maria is sort of underrated. . . I love that song My favorite songs seem to have a pattern...She, Maria, LOTAG, She's a Rebel, Extraordinary Girl, both of the Gloria's . . .maybe it's just cause I'm a chick.
Isabel Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I think Maria is sort of underrated. . . I love that song DEFINITELY! That song is in my top 10
gdpony Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 most underrated album, definitely Warning .. too bad, its my favorite album, and definitely one of the best!
radiofriendlyunitshifter Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 For album, definitiely Kerplunk. For songs, there's 409 in your Coffee Maker, Holden Caulfield, Sassafras Roots, Westbound Sign, The Grouch, Deadbeat Holiday, Letterbomb, Horseshoes and handgrenades....
Lindsey Love Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I would definitely say Christie Road. One of my favorite songs and hardly any recognition. I also really love On The Wagon. It's slow, but beautiful.
Stormy Haze Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 In my opinion, Scattered is one of the best songs Green Day has and yet people seem to forget about it all the time.
alaniluau Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I'd have to say Kerplunk. That is a mindblowing album in every sense of the phrase. It appalls me that people don't like old school in general. What the hell?!
Kristen M Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I agree. And for albums, definitely Warning and Insomniac. Completely agree, I don't understand why either of those albums get overlooked
Vrock09 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Album would have to be Warning.. as for song.. a song off of Warning, Macy's Day Parade.
whatsername..x Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 'Who Wrote Holden Caulfield', 'Christie Road', 'Warning', 'Pulling Teeth', 'Whatsername' 'Viva La Gloria' ...and I'm sure I could go on
