Milo Goes To Pasalacqua Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'd say One Of My Lies.I think that was where Billie Joe's questioning and maybe even controversial lyrics got their start. The chorus- not great, it's those verses that I love. It's those verses that make me think and question.I mean "Why does my life have to be so small, yet death is forever. And does forever have a life to call it's own? Don't give me an answer, 'cause you only know as much as I know, unless you've been there once. Well, I hardly think so."Love that!I fuck yes i agree. Has to be the most underrated on Kerplunk!, and one of the most underrated in general. It just goes to show, even though Kerplunk! was a fun little teenie album, songs like this proved Green Day were capable of thinking, pondering and questioning stuff, and evoking thoughts in others. Beautiful music, beautiful opening riff, beautiful theme, beautiful lyrics. The following lines were always the climax for moi:"I used to pray at nightBefore i lay myself downMy mother said it was rightHer mother said it tooWhy?"
Hermione Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Nobody seems to like Rotting. I personally love that song!Looks like you're wrong because I love it too . It's a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics, love Billie's voice on it. Have you ever tried to sing along to it though? It's so low it's impossible

Modern Zero. Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I would have to say that Warning is probably their most underrated album. I actually really really love that album too, and I'm surprised that it didn't do nearly as good as the rest of their albums. :/I think that Warning has a lot of good songs, Fashion Victim and Misery being my favorites. And of course Waiting is also good too

captain peroxide Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Why the hell do so many people seem to hate Warning? I might go so far as to say that's my favorite album. Tied with Nimrod.
thisisAB Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 - Homecomingetc etc etc...Yeah, I forgot to mention that one. I've always liked it better than Jesus of Suburbia. It's the song that started American Idiot, if I'm correct. Mike wrote "Nobody Likes You" when he was the only one in the studio one day, and the other members tried it too, and Homecoming become of that. It's an amazing song musically and lyrically, and it's nice in the way that all three members wrote the lyrics at one point.

Cant give good reviewYou Lied-Of all the songs I hear about from this album, this is the least talked about and its great.American IdiotI think we can all agree on these 2Letterbomb-Just an explosion of fury in music here. This is just good hard rocking out right here.Whatsername-Not given much credit but I would say beside Macy Day Parade, this is the best ending song to any Green Day album. Could be one of the best Ive ever heard. It makes you calm down from the other 13 songs that take you on an emotional roller coaster, takes you back to the catchy Green Day sound and then leads to a soft tone to end an Era-defining album...definitely underrated. Please let me know your thoughts.
Tiffx Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I Want to be Alone. I've been listening to this alot lately, I think it's a completely underrated song off 1039SOSH.
Rezurgam Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Pulling TeethMy favorite Green Day song but it seems to be ignored on Dookie a lot.
