veronica_cy Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 '16'. One of my favorite Green Day songs. And also 'Deadbeat Holiday'.
chickin'pickin' Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 NimrodDookieAmerican IdiotKerplunkInsomniacWarning1,039The definitive correct best to worst order But all deserve 10/10I disagree!
hardtoconcentrate Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 ^I can never decide my favourite Green Day album. It was Insomniac for years, but I've been swaying more towards 1,039 and Dookie recently.
chickin'pickin' Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 List goes like this.InsomniacDookieNimrodWarningAmerican Idiot1039Kerplunk.
Hermione Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 All the albums are perfection, therefore your list is acceptable
chickin'pickin' Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hmm, you use the word 'perfection' far too loosely. The only album to ever come even close to perfection is the Clash's self titled.
Hermione Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hmm, you use the word 'perfection' far too loosely.Haha, twice on the same page. Only where Green Day is concerned, mind.
permanent_insanity Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Warning, Kerplunk, and 1039 are ridiculously under rated in my opinion.
Lizzie.B Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Christie Road, Give Me Novacaine, She, Misery, Green Day, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, Westbound Sign, 409 in your coffeemaker,86!Hell there's a lot of them and all from different albums! But I think the most underarted albums are thier Pre-Dookie stuff, like... hell!, they deserve some recognition too!!!
Chad is Rad Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I think that 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is way underrated. The only people who have heard that CD are the massive Green Day fans.I also think that Warning is a bit underrated, too. That was a great CD. It had the most sentimental meaning, to me.
Velocity Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Technically it's not an album but Shenanigans is incredibly underrated. Just because they're b-sides doesn't mean they're not awesome. And as far as songs go, definitely Castaway. That would have made a really good single.

Ila Reto Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 from the nimrod album, probably Prostethic Head and Walking Alone.
Break of Day Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 List goes like this.InsomniacDookieNimrodWarningAmerican Idiot1039Kerplunk.Somehow, 1039 and Kerplunk are last? Let alone at the top where they belong. Insomniac is their most simple and least interesting album by far! I say:1039KerplunkDookieNimrodWarningShenanigansInsomniacAmerican Idiot. To give you perspective, as an album, I love insomniac. I just love all the other ones way more. I "like" american idiot, but it's definitely not green day's best. 1039 and Kerplunk are the most interesting, musically talented ones, in my opinion. They both contain more guitar solos than any of the other albums and I dig billie's soloing a lot. Mike's harmonies complement all the songs very well, Billie's riffs were more experimental than just 3-4 chords. I could go on forever about those two albums.
Peace and Rainbows Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 They don't give enough credit to misery, it's such a sick werid kinda cool song. I'd also think coming clean needs some more ratings
Starbug Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Technically it's not an album but Shenanigans is incredibly underrated. Just because they're b-sides doesn't mean they're not awesome. And as far as songs go, definitely Castaway. That would have made a really good single.I think it's underrated, too. It's a great album, stand alone. And Castaway should've been a single, most definitely. It's probably my favorite song off that album, or at least in the top 3.To be honest, I think almost ALL of their albums (besides the big obvious two) are underrated. People haven't given GD enough credit over the years, they're a great band and Billie Joe is a phenomenal songwriter, hands down, one of the best of this generation. Just because it's punk (or so some think) doesn't mean the lyrics aren't brilliant.
Tiffx Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 from the nimrod album, probably Prostethic Head and Walking Alone.I agree with Prosthetic Head . I LOVE that song <3
jose armstrong Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I agree, Prosthetic head.I remember GD/Warner tried to make it a single, guess it didn't work.
Tiffx Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I agree, Prosthetic head.I remember GD/Warner tried to make it a single, guess it didn't work.It would've been a killer single. It's a shame they don't play it live often. Hopefully on the new tour - doubt it.
bjrules Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Prosthetic Head, 86, Letterbomb, Going to Pasalaqua and Who wrote holden caulfield. I love all of those songs.
Ayame Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Walking Alone.And Worry Rock.As FFaLeX mentioned, Coming Clean 1,000 Hours.Dry IceAt the Library16
