924Nimrod Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I would say Warning or Nimrod. I think Nimrod is such a key album in their development, when you trace back their current sound it basically starts at Nimrod with songs like Redundant, Scattered, and of course Good Riddance. But a lot of people denounced it at first and said that GD were betraying their "punk roots". Warning also is an excellent album that should have probably sold a lot more...I wouldn't go as far to say that Nimrod is an underrated album. In a poll of favorites it would probably be 2nd or 3rd place, but not underrated.
Eirik Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Warning. I was gonna say Insomniac, then i remembered it's the 3rd most selling GD album
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Insomniac & Warning. But I guess Warning a little bit more, since it wasn't as much of a commercial success.
A song for the lovers Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 American Idiot ok, and now serioucly, I think Insomniac is the most underrated album.
Kryssi. Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I think that either Nimrod or Warning were poorly concentrated on by the media/whoever rated these albums.
MindlessZombie Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Warning, I think that's one of their best albums...
Hermione Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 ALL their albums are underrated unless they're being given a 10/10
chickin'pickin' Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 No. The first two are cack. Also, American Idiot is nowhere near the standard of Dookie and Insomniac.
The_Judges_Daughter Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 olders songs from 1039/SOSH and KerplunkYep.
Towers Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 songs: Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? and The GrouchAlbum: Kerplunk!
Hermione Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 No. The first two are cack. Also, American Idiot is nowhere near the standard of Dookie and Insomniac. NimrodDookieAmerican IdiotKerplunkInsomniacWarning1,039The definitive correct best to worst order But all deserve 10/10
Spark of Insanity Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Warning, I think that's one of their best albums...i think warning is very underestimated as well. it didnt get much media attention but thier songs are clearly definitive and they are diverse and show how they wanted to try something different.NimrodDookieAmerican IdiotKerplunkInsomniacWarning1,039The definitive correct best to worst order But all deserve 10/10thats about how i list them as well. and they all do deserve a 10/10 for sure.
Kerplunk!!! Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Rest is an underated song as i think it has some of Billies best singing on it and No one knows is underated aswell i think, after Longview it's probably Mikes best bassline.
Hermione Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 ^I'm with you on No One Knows . It's such a beautiful song.Another amazing and sometimes overlooked song is The One I Want. Definitely my favourite of all the kinda soppy love songs on 1,039. It's so sweet and heartfelt, I love the chorus and the little guitar solo - perfection.
Nobody_Likes_You Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Christie Road, Ciming Clean, Macy's Day Paradewonderful!
waninko Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 For albums, I'd say Insomniac. When it comes to songs I'd say 86, Letterbomb & Burnout.
