I have it, it's nothing of the sort. Random interviews but with people who know Green Day (if you call Billie's ex postman as someone who knows them), and no concert footage. There isn't even any Green Day music in it.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!

OMG, ou're giving green day up???

He says he hates them because of the Satanic symbol but he is OK to buy a dvd with Bullet in a Bible as it's title :lol:

We should all ask Landover Baptist what they think of this...

OK, I was investigating and this "Weird Al" Yankovic guy has a song called The Devil Went Down To Jamaica AND in one song called Nature Trail to Hell (:P) if you pit it backwards it says "Satan eats Cheese Whiz!"

What is he going to to about it, then?

uhm, i do beleive it was the other way around. at least that's how i took it. i thought that when that chick was like "so you want your bible with a bullet in it?" i figured that green day had told her about what they were going to name the dvd, and she was kinda like "oh, well i can show you one of those". but you might be right.

Yeah that's not against Christianity. They just found it sad and moving that there would be such a personal item with a bullet in it.

However, what do you think of this scathing line from 'Minority'?

"One nation under dog"

Or how about 'One Of My Lies', surely a little anti-Christianity in there?

Not to mention Letterbomb "The town bishop's an extortionist, and he don't even know that you exist" Hmm? ;)

this is beth, correct? hah, sorry i'm still kinda a noob.

yes mandypants?

wats extortionist?

a criminal offense, which occurs, when a person unlawfully obtains either money, property or services from a person, entity, or institution, through coercion.
Coercion is the practice of compelling a person or manipulating them to behave in an involuntary way (whether through action or inaction) by use of threats, intimidation or some other form of pressure or force

:D

someone who abuses power and gets money illegally...i'm pretty sure, I could be wrong though.

edit: sorry, someone already answered it...didnt notice at first.

Wait.

They decided on the name BEFORE they got to the museum. Why else would the guide have said "If you want your bible with a bullet in it I'm your girl." (or something very close to that effect.

And if you were so diametrically opposed to their alleged satanic practices wouldn't you destroy the merch?

Posted

It's basically someone who gets money or power illegally, through blackmail. So a nasty piece of work.

It's OK you don't have to bother answering my questions :D . All I'm saying is Green Day have said and done things in the past that could be considered much more offensive to a devout Christian than a jokey banner. Although I don't think many people would actually find any of them offensive, Christian or not.

But if you disagree, fair do's. I don't think you came for a debate after all

Posted

What I meant is that what Green Day did was obviously not intended to be against christians, it was a joke, just as the DVD title or the songs your guy performs.

Don't take it seriously!

You're selling one thing to get money for another thing you can just burn off the internet. And as for the audio equipment, I don't know. Maybe I'd sympathize more if you were investing in a car or college, you look like someone who doesn't know how to manage money.

I agree. But I don't like to tell other people what to do, because I don't know them, or anything about them. Personally, I think Weird Al is a good laugh, but I wouldn't spend money on any of his albums. I'll probably buy some stuff, butt only cos I want it.

haha, i was just gonna say that it's pretty awesome that you were able to find foot in mouth at best buy, i assumed that best buy only sold the more "official" cds.
