I'm really happy with the drummer I'm gonna be working with. He's super talented and already plays in 2 bands, but he's such a huge Green Day fan he really wants to be a part of this.

Question for you Hermione... if you were to go see a GD cover band, and they were somewhat re-creating GD's live show (to the best of their ability), what song that GD covers live would you want to see the GD cover band cover? LOL Didi you get that? I think I just burnt out.

Green Day doesn't need a cover band. The only people who should be performing Green Day songs to live audiences are Green Day themselves.

But I guess I'd rather have a band who's devoted to Green Day covering their songs rather than, oh, Fall Out Boy.

Why not call yourselves "Frank Edwin Wright the Third." Fewt for short.

Then you could say "We're Frank Edwin Wright the third"

oh, and if you are to go any covers that GD covered (that wasn't recorded), do Eye of the Tiger - it's cliche! as for already recorded ones, i guess Outsider and I Wanna be on TV. (meh, not the best but that's all i can think of right now).

Edit- Armageddon Flame sounds like a death metal band, you'd end up with a load of metal people at your show then calling you 'emo fags' when you starting playing Green Day.

So does Sound of Hysteria which, interestingly, most people are voting for on this thread. I voted for Letterbomb. It's not great, but it was the best choice there. Agree with Pheobe, come up with something original.
