I remember seeing the video on tv as a little kid, but it could've been When I Come Around...I don't really remember but I know that my cousin Missie was living with us and she was a huge Green Day fan when I was little so I used to hear them all the time.

All I remember is that my sister was determined to get me into Greenday in 2003...it all seem so long ago now. Before that, my mum kept going on about Good Riddance, but I had no idea what she was on about, and she never mentioned the name of the band when she was trying to remember the words! Lol.

Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 My first song i heard by Green Day was actually American Idiot and in my opinion i thought it was good so i went on youtube and searched them and loved all of the old stuff and that was about 2 years ago and been a fan sence then. (and always will be!!!)

Years later I hear it was by Green Day, which was cool to find out.The first song I heard from them when I actually knew their name was Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.And the first video was Holiday.

Arctic Fox Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I have no idea what video. Actually, I have no idea what song either, but the first song I remember listening to is American Idiot. I got the album for my birthday and put it on before I went out for the day. American Idiot came on and after the first few lines I just remember smiling and thinking wow, this is awesome. My neighbour was a big fan, but by the time I came to appreciate them, he'd moved on. I'm gutted I didn't get into them earlier, but to be honest I was still pretty young, and they just hadn't been introduced to me. Still, I became hooked from the moment I heard them that morning!
