Hermione Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 If they decide to play the UK:Great. Kerrang has now royally fucked my chances of being able to get a FHT ticket in the UK for face value, in cash, at the venue.Cheers, cunts. This is sad but true.Unless they have exactly the same ticket policy as in the US. Do it!
FJ Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 This is sad but true.Unless they have exactly the same ticket policy as in the US. Do it!They'd better do. That's how I think all gigs should be sold: tickets available at the venue, limited to x per person.None of this ticketmaster shite that seems to be the 'in thing'.

No touts, and those that care the most (& therefore willing to wait longer) will be the ones who get in. Only those who aren't that bothered would lose out, and they mostly wouldn't care. Everyone's a winner.
piratepalmer Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 ^ *nods*I still can't believe I couldn't get tickets for the Foos at Wembley - but there was NO way I was paying Ebay prices. Fuck that for a game of soldiers.

Everyone's a winner. If I'm ever in a position (eg in a band that big!) to dictate the terms by which tickets are sold, that'd be it. Tickets available from the venue, some form of ID system in place, and a genuine resale system which means anyone touting gets no more than face value. Difficult to implicate, but it's all for the fans, dawg!
hardtoconcentrate Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 It better be first come, first serve again. Lining up all day kinda made it more exciting as well. For my first Green Day gig, I ended up paying £78 for a ticket on Ebay, the original price was £30. I do not want that happening again!
Hermione Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 If the touts get hold of the tickets I won't be going, I'm too poor . Seriously.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I'd be happy to send you a copy if you can't get it Beth! Thanks Leanne!
midlfecrysis Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 What a great article. Kerrang really did justice to the whole event. I love how they said "This is, simply, extaodinary, a blistering intimate show in front of a select audience from a world-conquering band. It's the sort of thing that goes down as legend, the sort of show that- in years to come- far more thatn the 500 who are here tonight will claim to have seen." and "Because fock 'n' roll shows just don't get any better than this". The band never fails to amaze me, and I'm so very thankful to have been a part of all the chaos. God only knows what they have in store for us next, but they continue to out do themselves, that's for sure.
chickin'pickin' Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 lol, was 'fock and roll' actually part of the article?Cos that would be the most amazing thing Kerrang have ever said.I'm betting it was a typo though, ahhhh a kid can dream.
amy_runs Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Ha. I'm so on one of those pages. The one with Mike in the middle and the fans around the picture. I look retarded

Didn't you know? Fock and roll is what all the cool kids are listening to. Like rock and roll but dirtier.
chickin'pickin' Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 To quote Grandpa Simpson: 'I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was.... IT'LL HAPPEN TO YOU!'
randomness Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 i haven't read the article yet, but it kinda annoyed me that it said "Green Day" all big on the front with a pic and then i look below to see it's actually about FHT. not Green Day then is it! thought there might be some little bit of news or something.
Ila Reto Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 i think i should go and buy Kerrang sunday...my green day binder needs some dusting off after 2 years of no more articles added to it...finally!because those scans are making me want to pull out the page-protectors! anyway, it's nice to see them in the magizines again, i actually have to give a thumbsup to Kerrang for doing something worth reading!
DeJennsitized Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 i think it will prob work out the same as it did in the US. we may have to queue for hours but we should be able to get in. if you're not really interested in the FBHT then you wouldn't be willing to do so. plus if everyone from GDC saves each other spaces we will be set is anyone from Ireland heading over for it if they come?Yeah, I'll definately nag my mum to get me over to England if they're playing. She promised me I could go to Download last year, but it never happened, so she owes me one

**nobodylikesyou** Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 **edit Jinx.i haven't read the article yet, but it kinda annoyed me that it said "Green Day" all big on the front with a pic and then i look below to see it's actually about FHT. not Green Day then is it! thought there might be some little bit of news or something. They quote in the article Billie Joe says that the only similarity between The Foxboro Hot Tubs and Green Day is that they are the same band.
chickin'pickin' Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I read some of the article, I shall read more tomorrow. The part about cops being twatted in the face was funny.
Fuzz Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 **edit Jinx. They quote in the article Billie Joe says that the only similarity between The Foxboro Hot Tubs and Green Day is that they are the same band.hah yeah, thats what i wanted to quote.
Parley Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I just hate the fact that the Foxboro Hot Tubs are getting tons of attention and Green Day isn't getting ANY!! It's not fair!!
