Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 The Graduation ceremony isn't mandatory in alot of places.I've never heard of it being mandatory, like to get a diploma. Call the school "I can't go, I have bacterial meningitis. Pay no attention to the concert in the background, I'm just watching a DVD on a high quality TV."
Austyn Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 probably the gig; my sophomore class currently has 750 students, but even predicting some drop-outs, it's going to take for-fucking-ever for it to be over D=
Yussef Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 probably the gig; my sophomore class currently has 750 students, but even predicting some drop-outs, it's going to take for-fucking-ever for it to be over D=HOLY SHIT.And I thougt 20 students was a lot. xD
Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 probably the gig; my sophomore class currently has 750 students, but even predicting some drop-outs, it's going to take for-fucking-ever for it to be over D=When my cousin graduated, 2/3 of her original class dropped out. And that doesn't even account for the students that transferred to a different school or moved somewhere or died. That graduation was fairly short. Still, the gig all the fucking way.
14razorbacks Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 green day.i've seen them live, nothing even comes close to what they deliver.
Kat013 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Graduation ceremony doesn't mean shit to me. All it is, is going to get a piece of paper in front of a bunch of people who tease you about what ur wearing while ur up there. Then u do the same thing when they walk up. And being it chorus it means, singing the national anthem in front of a bunch of kids who don't give a damn about chorus or singing, while wearing our stupid chorus shirts. So I think I'll go with Green Day concert! Oh yeah &, seeing Green Day is life changing I've been told & they are my frikin heroes!
FilmAdaptation Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 This depends. See AI Green Day where every concert is the same? Or a concert that is smaller, not full of little girls and boys, and they play a nice variety of new and old songs?
Kat013 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 When my cousin graduated, 2/3 of her original class dropped out. And that doesn't even account for the students that transferred to a different school or moved somewhere or died. That graduation was fairly short. Still, the gig all the fucking way.that too! I have a bunch of friends I know for a fact that are dropping out next year, going to a new school, or moving up north (wish I was). So that's even more of a reason.
Sara Armstrong Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 that's stupid.i'd pick graduation. you can only go to it once.
FilmAdaptation Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 that's stupid.i'd pick graduation. you can only go to it once. You can only go to a concert once too.
Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 that's stupid.i'd pick graduation. you can only go to it once. But it's boring... There's plenty of things I can only do once, I don't want to do them all.
Robbie... Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I'd go to graduation. If I graduate, the fact that I actually pulled through high school with grades good enough to graduate would be WAY more amazing than Green Day live. Even if I hadn't seen them before. Besides, they'll play more concerts.
Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I'm not even a huge Green Day fan and I'm sure their concert would be expensive and way too crowded anyway. If option A is crowded expensive GD show and option B is boring graduation, I'll take option C, staying home and watching House DVDs.
Guest billy024 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 i like the point Tom brought up.ai green day concerts were exact copies, same setlist.same stupid acts and tricks.i seriously hope for the next album they drop that.and the ai look of make up, dyed hair, and suits.
*Minority* Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Here we don't have this ceremony of graduation! It's just the last class and that's it! I would defenitly go to a Green Day concert (or other band) because for me it's the best way to celebrete!!! I'm not the kind of person who cares about going to that kinda thing like the prom or whatever.
Hermione Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 i seriously hope for the next album they drop that.and the ai look of make up, dyed hair, and suits. They wore make updyed hairand suitsway before American Idiot so there
Sara Armstrong Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 But it's boring... There's plenty of things I can only do once, I don't want to do them all.yeah it's boring.but i would not miss my highschool graduation for anything.
jjones Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 My graduation is in about 3 weeks and I really have no desire to go. So if there was a concert that I wished to attend and it was happening on June 8, it would be the perfect excuse.
chickin'pickin' Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 You get the necessary paperwork anyways.So...Fuck Graduation.
Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 yeah it's boring.but i would not miss my highschool graduation for anything. How could you go to something that bored you? It's really fucking lame, they hand you a diploma after calling 500 names, then they call 500 more names and you leave. Lame. And if you liked it, that'd be different. But to go to something boring is just dumb. You get the necessary paperwork anyways.So...Fuck Graduation.Exactly.
Trotsky Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I'm honestly surprised GD isn't winning by at least 95%. I don't even like Green Day and I'd take the show.
