parinaz Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I am happy Green Day finally admitted the truth. Remember when I posted about chatting with Billie Joe at the Pinhead Gunpowder show in Long Beach? He admitted to me then that they were the Foxboro Hot Tubs and even told me about the plans to release a full-length album but I promised I wouldn't tell anyone and I kept it --DJ RossstarHAHA.. good for u
cellophaneice Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I kind of expected them to make an appearance by now seeing that the music is now releasing. It's semi-disappointing. Let's hope it happens soon!
Lady Liberty Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Aw i intend to Hey, and while i'm at it maybe you could carry on pretending you have the authority to disagree with me.
parinaz Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 You people need to learn how to have fun with this stuff.we have to have fun with everything else.and u did changed the banner.good for u,too.
novacaine_kid Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 this foxboro hot tubs thing is pointless really, instead of pissing about pretending to be a different band they could have released a green day new album. and whats with changing the name of this forum to the foxboro hot tubs authority? talk about unecessary hysteria
chickin'pickin' Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Aw i intend to Hey, and while i'm at it maybe you could carry on pretending you have the authority to disagree with me.LOL
localinsomniac Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Aw i intend to Hey, and while i'm at it maybe you could carry on pretending you have the authority to disagree with me.A little kid talking down and telling me I'm not allowed to disagree. Imagine that?Sweetheart...if I had a dollar for every brain you don't have, I would be exactly one dollar richer.
Lady Liberty Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 If I had a quid for every blind Green Day follower who wanted nothing more than to tongue BJ's Starfish, I'd be in the bahamas now.

netty Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 you know, people can bitch as much as they want to about the guys doing things other than "green day" things but it wont actually change a thing. they do what they want to no matter what the fans say.
localinsomniac Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 If I had a quid for every blind Green Day follower who wanted nothing more than to tongue BJ's Starfish, I'd be in the bahamas now.Do you have backup for that? I never proclaimed them the end-all. You've got nothing.I love the extremes here. You're either 12 and want to be the band's jizz jar, or you're 12 and pretend to be hateful and invincible. You're not fooling anyone, babygirl. You cry like any other girl when someone calls you fat.
chickin'pickin' Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Do you have backup for that? I never proclaimed them the end-all. You've got nothing.Maybe that wasn't aimed at yourself. But I actually agree that there are fans that blindly follow them, and any criticism of their oh so precious band is hugely frowned upon.and my point is..they're as annoying as the doting followers of other artists, such as Elvis and Michael Jackson. People seem to think I'm not a Green Day fan, because I don't go on and on and on about brilliant they are.

This is the place people love to come to chat about their favourite band, is it really so hard for people to refrain from posting in band threads if they're no longer into the band, but as we know some people post just to goad gd fans into these kinds of arguments...Enddarn u mr chickin pickin..bk to the kitchen i gox

Thing is, I AM A GREEN DAY FAN. I enjoy their music, maybe the FHT stuff to a lesser extent. But I just never understood how anyone can be so far up a bands *ahem* when there is so much more music out there. I find it impossible. I realise I say this with Pete Doherty splattered all over my ava and sig, but he's not even my favourist artist and I don't go as far as some do.I must say you're a cool GD obsessive though

armatageshanks Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 and my point is..they're as annoying as the doting followers of other artists, such as Elvis and Michael Jackson. ELVIS LIVES, JAY!

ELVIS LIVES, JAY!He does. He bought me a guinness at the pub once.

But some bands just hit such a chord within you that you really do just want to talk about them, support them and generally ok, obsess with other people about them. I think I just got a splinter from all the fence-sitting .....
