Just a reminder that we do not allow links for people to share the album. We know it's frustrating that some of you cannot get it, but we can't allow the sharing of music that would get us in trouble.

Thanks.

Totally agree with ya Andres. I am sick of so called fans who post thousands of messages and every one of them seems to be a negative whine against Green Day, comments about them selling out or nasty bitchin to other people who dare to post a message defending the band. I checkout this site because I like the band and I am not interested in the whiners or their miserable little lives. Fuckin grow up I say! go somewhere else if you want to moan.

So much for the meaning of a forum....

I'm tempted to ask for banners saying "Foxboro Hot Tubs Authority."

You really should

What makes me a fan of GD wasn't the name on the packaging... While the GD brand has a certain style that the market is used to, to me it was the songwriting and their love of music (in all it's forms) that attracted me to them. When I first saw the vid for Welcome to Paradise it blew me away seeing these guys who seemed to be musicians first and foremost. They seemed to love what they were doing purely for the sake of playing music.

For this reason, I would listen to any of their work, purely for the sake of seeing the next stage of their journey.

If that means we don't see the GD package again, so be it, but I plan to be along for the ride.

Amen. First and foremost, I'm a fan of these guys as songwriters and musicians. Whatever music they create under whatever title, whether as Green Day, The Network, or Foxboro Hot Tubs; it's their music. Each of those bands has their own particular style, but ultimately it's "from the minds that brought you Green Day..." (if you want to think of it in terms of your favorite movie director or something who does different projects all the time xP). So for me, because I'm a fan of the songwriting and musicanship of those particular men as a whole rather than just one piece of who they are as artists, I can wait a little longer for the new Green Day album as long as those guys are making music for us to hear at all.

A different name. Same music.

actually different name, different music.

The FHT is different from American Idiot in the same sense that American Idiot is different from Warning.

Fair enough.

The reason I thought Green Day wasn't Foxboro Hot Tubs at first is becuase I figured they were working on a new album under the Green Day name. Though now everything sort of makes sense.

Well they threw us all a curve huh? :P

*prepares anti-flame shield*

I think Green Day sat down and realized that nothing they could ever do would ever compare with the success of American Idiot. So they came up with the idea, create a pseudonym, and call the music a "side project" or "experiment". That way they could continue on, please their fans, and avoid a significant amount of criticism and comparison.

had nothing to do with all the stuff you mentioned in the thread?

not billies' voice

horrible music

no proof (even tho there were tons of clues)

I could go on, but I gotta go do laundry.

Fairly plosible (all my time watching mythbusters helped me spell that right :D).

So Green Day is no longer a band now?

Both new banners are great! :)

for some reason i think they're just making a ton of hype about the hot tubs and then one day BAM! new green day cd is gonna be out in a month.

or not... but i never like the foxboro hot tubs so much..

Duhh i don't like the new banner.

It just reminds me how dead is Green Day as a band.

You people need to learn how to have fun with this stuff.

I agree Andres. It seems like that is impossible around here. . . for some odd reason.
