A rumor is usually just some gossip, and no one knows where it came from, whereas speculation is a guess based on whatever information is available. A guess isn't any more likely to pan out, but at least it's based on information that is out in the open, and that everyone can judge for themselves as to how likely they think the guess is to come true.I have no idea if this will happen or not, but the circumstances seem pretty similar to 2004, when they played Reading before AI came out, and didn't play any new material.I don't really have my own guess one way or the other.
