jadedghiacand Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 my friends saw that article and are all up for a bit of madness! lol
Amanda Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Poof!In 01 I think Andrew was about 7 years old , so we'll let him have this one.
FJ Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 In 01 I think Andrew was about 7 years old , so we'll let him have this one.Ahhh good point. But if he runs from another pit again, I reserve the right to cry poof!
Evil-Sheep Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I'll definitley go! I haven't been in recent years as I thought the main bands weren't all that good, but if GD are playing I'm going!
allenxtreme Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I can't really see them doing it...they havent got an album to tour on so what would be the point? Unless their new one comes out between now and then...I doubt they would have signed up for it without proper knowledge of the progress of the album. Take it with a pinch of salt..or grain...or whatever.
jadedghiacand Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 In 01 I think Andrew was about 7 years old , so we'll let him have this one.no i think i was 8
chickin'pickin' Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 what are they gonna play? hahaA tribute to the old Ska Classics.
Bastard Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Well, that's nice. I might just have to take a trip to England this summer, if it's true.
WorryRock02 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 oh mi god!!! i hope thats true!!! wow!!!!
MrGreenDayUK Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I wouldn't expect so, not so soon before the (alleged) release date of a new album. Foo Fighters and RATM, yeah, why not, but equally I don't expect MCR either, for the same reason.
Amanda Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 no i think i was 8hmmm, still immune from the poof treatment though
clusterbomb Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 thats mint if they do, cause im already goin to reading
BooshFan91 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I'm definately going if Green Day are there! That would be amazing! I live in North Wales so it's not really that far either! Count me in!
DeJennsitized Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I can't really see them doing it...they havent got an album to tour on so what would be the point? Unless their new one comes out between now and then...I doubt they would have signed up for it without proper knowledge of the progress of the album. Take it with a pinch of salt..or grain...or whatever. But that's the thing. We have no real idea of how they're getting along with the album. So...it's possible. But yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
netty Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 hhmmm I dont know about this. green day did play reading/leeds the year AI came out. but that guy said that he was talking about bands who played recently, which to me would be either last year or the year before. Kings of Leon played last year but then they had the album coming out then. Foos I would be close to betting money on being there. and didnt the Foos co-headline in 2004?
FJ Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 and didnt the Foos co-headline in 2004?Yep. But the rule the organisers stick to is 'a band can only play once every 3/4 years'.
Saint Walshie Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Leeds and Reading festival are always class, I went last year and it was the best 5 days of my life. If Green Day headline this year I don't think I'd be able to control myself :DYep. But the rule the organisers stick to is 'a band can only play once every 3/4 years'.The Subways have played for the past 6 years.
Trotsky Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Yep. But the rule the organisers stick to is 'a band can only play once every 3/4 years'.Doesn't seem to make much sense to me, if the band is liked.Leeds and Reading festival are always class, I went last year and it was the best 5 days of my life. If Green Day headline this year I don't think I'd be able to control myself :DThe Subways have played for the past 6 years.Maybe Panic at the Shitsco will get bottled harder this time.
FJ Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 The Subways have played for the past 6 years. The rule is for the top slots/headliners. There was a band called 'Acidtone' who, aside from being humongously shit, played 7 or 8 years in a row on one of the smaller stages.
Saint Walshie Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Doesn't seem to make much sense to me, if the band is liked.Maybe Panic at the Shitsco will get bottled harder this time.People who throw bottles are twats, unless it's at Pete Wentz because last year that was hilarious.
Trotsky Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 People who throw bottles are twats, unless it's at Pete Wentz because last year that was hilarious. Or at Panic at the Shitsco.fixt
FJ Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 People who throw bottles are twats, unless it's at Pete Wentz because last year that was hilarious. It was pretty funny when that pansy from PATD! was 'knocked unconscious' by a plastic bottle. I hope he gets hit by a brick next time.
Trotsky Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 It was pretty funny when that pansy from PATD! was 'knocked unconscious' by a plastic bottle. I hope he gets hit by a brick next time.Seriously true.
