14razorbacks Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 mehi like them the samewhich is, y'knowthat i love themi don't really think they have an obligation to keep us posted on what they're doing - thats what the records are for.all im really thinking about is what the new records gonna be like, what style of stuff, will it be like FHT, or was FHT purposely completely different so they please everyone (a side project for kinks fans, a new album for other people), and what the live shows gonna be like, same explosiveness, less explosiveness, more grungy, more old skool, more of a punk rock thing, less uniformed, more or less political, really.i'd rather a really cool album than something every week saying "well, i dyed my hair yesterday. that was kinda cool. see you next week!"

Take the songs off American Idiot and add three guys with random clothing, green hair, and a energi thats says: In your face!They need to lose the smoikings they're wearing at the award-shows. Lose some of the maskara. And throw Mr. White off a cliff....American Idiot was such an amazing record, way, way, WAY better than Dookie. But it was destroyed by the style they were running at that time. If Billie Joe hadn't tryed to play an Emo God, then all the "This song is not Anti-American, its anti war", "Fuuck George Bush" and "Oh, all these songs are so emotioally important to me" Could have been replaced by the good old Billie we know...I believe that the next album is gonna be way better than American Idiot, i don't know why. Maybe it's just a feeling But let's say all the Foxboro songs are songs that they took off the new record, then the songs got to be good, Because a song like Mother Mary is not a song you just throw away, except if he record is really speciel...I can wait 'till the end of time!wrong place to say that...i don't like you either

Watching it again, I felt like it answered 'what are your feelings towards Green Day' better than anything else ever could. Just listen to this song - or really, just be there when this song speaks to everything that hopes and believes, right down in your soul.

It sounds like most of you just want their next album to sound like AI. I personally liked their stuff before AI more than AI... even though I do very much like listening to AI. DOOKIE is the BEST ALBUM EVER!!!And whats wrong with writing a song with emotion? You have feelings dont you? Damn people.Unlike most of you... I am not disappointed with them. I mean they are doing some stuff in between albums. I cant be disappointed because they are my favorite band of all time and as long as I can listen to their old stuff, I will never be. I still listen to their albums all the time. I was never really obsessed with them, but I have always followed them and their music, since I was 16. I am 20 now and I love them more than any other band out there. It may be cliche or whatever, but they are my heroes. Billie Joe inspired me to keep going on my guitar.

daughterofrage&love Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I have been a fan of greenday for about 13 yrs now and I cant really say that my feelings about them have changed, they have been very busy w/side projects and what not and a small part of why I like them so much is because I dont see them all the time all over the place that tells me that they are just regular citizens not fakeasses that you see all the time trying to get attention negative or positive. I am sure though that when they do come out of "hiding"they will make it worth our wait,cause they are just cool like that

To not forget GD I write very much in the Swedich Green Day community ( I have the most posts there (it's around 5600) ) I will never stop listen to Green Day, they mean to much for me and I will wait for the new album.

Their music focuses mainly on the lyrics, and since I am much more into the actual music, it got a bit too "boring" for me. To me it's just the same song with different meanings, and I needit to be a bit more exciting, if that makes any sense.
