Except for some reason I enjoy the songs very much!

If they for sure are not GD, then they would have a lot of info on their page and wouldnt seem to secretive. If I were in that band and everyone was making a huge deal out of my Billie Joe/Green Day sounds, I'd put up an announcement saying that we are not GD!

But if they really are, which I'm gonna sssume, sweet! They are still making some nice tunes. If FHT becomes a real band, then maybe it would be a way for them to play smaller shows under a fake name, or just a fun side band. Who knows. maybe its juts a teaser until new GD stuff comes out.

Well I care about whether or not it's Green Day because it shows us their musical range . If it weren't somehow related ot them I never would have heard of the Foxboro Hot Tubs, but if I had heard of them unrelated and it hadn't occurred to me to think of Green Day, I still would have loved the music. I just might not have been quite as obsessed...

None of this has been proven, and yeah oK I know the voice is similar to Billie. I love and respect their wide range of styles. That's one reason I'm a fan of them. It could be an indication of where their next album is headed in terms of influences. This could be indicating that they want an album similar to Nimrod, but with more rock 'n' roll influence in it. And, by releasing some songs as FHT, they're testing the material out to see whether or not it'll be well received.

Yeah, but just because YOU don't like it and don't see what the hype is doesn't mean that other people don't. In fact, you're kind of in the minority here. The majority of fans on here do like it, and do think it's a big deal.

I understand that you want new Green Day and that you don't like the FHT's, and that's fine. I want new Green Day as much as the next person, but I'm good with FHT's to hold me over. And just because you don't like them or understand the hype doesn't mean it's going to go away.

Personally, I don't care if they release music under the name "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"--it's still Green Day making new music. That makes me very happy, especially when the new music is excellent. If you don't care, then you're not a real fan of Green Day.
