Yeah, I saw that a few minutes ago when I went to submit my "Highway 1" tab, damn Green Day can make so much noise without uttering a word ;)

I find it great that it says "You're doing it fuckin' wrong" at the beginning of Highway 1! Doesn't a certain drummer say the same phrase in a chocolate rain video. The sound clip at the beginning of the song also sounds like it could be Tre Cool's voice messed around with. lol

I think this has all been such a fantastic surprise.

They've obviously had so much fun doing all this, recording, putting the music online and leaving clues for us to follow.

Now we're having the fun discovering this "new band" identifying who's in it and most of all listening to the amazing songs.

Can't say how pleased I am with them for doing this .

Just love the music. Love Billie.s vocals. Love the whole retro feel to it. It makes me want to keep dancing.

What a great Christmas present :D

Red Tide sounds just like "Tired of Waiting For You".

Also, The Replacements reference is "Highway 1" is sweet, with the "Dose of Thunder" line, after the Replacements song of the same name.

Which is just another hint that it is Green Day, because Billie mentioned Dose of Thunder in an interview:

"I f**king hate watching bands playing for two hours," says Billie Joe. "It's one of the most boring things ever. We'd rather just play, give these people, as Paul Westerberg said, `one good dose of thunder' and then get out of there."

I'm not saying the people thinking that are idiots or anything like that, it's just I don't play drums and don't know how to differentiate between different drumming techniques. As for backing vocals, I guess if you're thinking about Mike when you're listening to the songs, you can kinda sense it's him.

green day is the three guys though. Jason plays with them on tour. maybe a bit in the studio.. but until they list themselves as a four piece, its just them.

you dont need speakers to listen by the way. download it, burn it to a cd.... and stick it in your cd player. or put it on your ipod or whatever.

I dont think its them....i just think they want to sound like GD that why of the 123....1234

thing on one of the songs and some pieces of the guitar that sounds like them. But Billie's

voice is not that one :rolleyes:
