Viva La Junkpile Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 ^ That is a valid point, but let's not get our feathers ruffled over "which is better" etc etc. It doesn't matter-- they're both good. Leave it at that.
slappyhours Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I really thought I had grown totally tired of Green Day and couldn't really picture myself ever listening to anything by them every again, but if this is Green Day, I really can't stop listening to it
Viva La Junkpile Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Because they're ridiculous. If a song doesn't mean something, what's the point of it? I like my music to have meaning, not be completely senseless.Yes, but you have to admit there are really good songs out there that a person couldn't possibly relate to-- I would name some, but I'm sure no one on here would know who they are.I really thought I had grown totally tired of Green Day and couldn't really picture myself ever listening to anything by them every again, but if this is Green Day, I really can't stop listening to it That is blasphemous! Joking...sorta...not really.
randomness Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I really thought I had grown totally tired of Green Day and couldn't really picture myself ever listening to anything by them every again, but if this is Green Day, I really can't stop listening to it it's not green day, it's foxboro hot tubs.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Yes, but you have to admit there are really good songs out there that a person couldn't possibly relate to-- I would name some, but I'm sure no one on here would know who they are. That is blasphemous! Joking...sorta...not really.Good, sure. But not brilliant. Brilliant is taking it too far.Brilliant would be something incredible. And senseless things just... aren't incredible.I'm not trying to argue or be a bitch, but that's how I see things. You could argue with me until the day one of us dies, and my mind won't change on this, and I'm sure yours won't either.
chickin'pickin' Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Because they're ridiculous. If a song doesn't mean something, what's the point of it? I like my music to have meaning, not be completely senseless.its ridiculous, but thats the magic of it. I think the network are awesome, much like FHT its a great relief from the usual Green Day, which got a bit stale for me, And because a song doesn't have a specific meaning, i reiterate, it doesn't make it a bad song.
Relavar Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Stop talking about the silly network.FHT FTW!!!!!!
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 And because a song doesn't have a specific meaning, i reiterate, it doesn't make it a bad song.Ah, but I never said that it did. I said that it didn't make it brilliant.
Trotsky Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Okay. Billie is probably involved, you have no proof of the other 2 being involved, and Buzznet is still a shit source for anything.

I'm not getting snippy; dun worry.ALK: We aren't saying the WHOLE band is involved because we have no proof of that yet... earlier I said maybe it was that charity band that Billie was supposed to team up with Tim Armstrong, etc...but people had to use logi-mic to prove me wrong.
mmmcrazypills Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Stop talking about the silly network.FHT FTW!!!!!!Your snowman has problems.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 No, no. I understand what you mean. I'm not getting snippy; dun worry.I didn't think you were. I was just kinda saying that to put an end to the conversation so it didn't turn into anything snippy.
randomness Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 as stated beforethis thread blowshaha Kelsey you're the top poster though
Relavar Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 The style of the drums, I can just tell it's tre.As for the bass-- well, I can hardly hear the damn thing ever, but I don't think they'd leave him behind.
chickin'pickin' Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Ah, but I never said that it did. I said that it didn't make it brilliant. And this is where that word 'opinion' rears its head.
spark in the night Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 haha Kelsey you're the top poster though I pwn the world
**nobodylikesyou** Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 Okay. Billie is probably involved, you have no proof of the other 2 being involved, and Buzznet is still a shit source for anything.had a change of heart? As you were VERY clear on this yesterday.Okay, so I'll ask. Why is it not logical to any of you that a band believes they can score fans by imitating one of the most liked modern rock bands of the time? This isn't Green Day. It isn't Billie Joe's voice. And either way, it is full of suck.
chickin'pickin' Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 haha Kelsey you're the top poster though ROFFLECOPTA3rd degree? i think so.
spark in the night Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 ROFFLECOPTA3rd degree? i think so. I'm too cool to get burned
Relavar Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 They are not silly. That's what makes them so funny! Now, no more about 'em! you hurr?
