spark in the night Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Mother Mary riff sounds like Jet's 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl'
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I actually can't decide if I like Stop, Drop, and Roll better or Ruby Room. This band is amazing, no matter what it turns out to be. But I'm still entirely positive Billie is the singer. I'm dying to hear the other half of the songs.
Marie_GD Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Mother Mary riff sounds like Jet's 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' YEs exactly what came to my mind! And Stop, Drop and Roll begining riff sounds like Hate to say I told you so -The Hives!

Laura33 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The more I listen the more I love. Mother Mary FTW.
Viva La Junkpile Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 hmmm.. and guessing what Jet's riff sounds similar to? IGGY POP's LUST FOR LIFE! *grumble*
NoVaCaInE! Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 out of the three my fav is definitely Mother Mary, then its Ruby Room, then Stop, Drop and Roll The more I listen the more I love. Mother Mary FTW.EXACTLY!
Rob Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 That's a good theory that it might be Tim Armstrong and all, but personally I don't think that it. I also don't think this is Billie solo. Don't solo artist typically play all the instruments? No offense to Armstrong, but I highly doubt he's that good at drums. The drums sound fantastic. I think it's them overall.I too have been listening to all three tracks a lot. They're some catchy ass tunes.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Everyone seems to like Mother Mary the best. I don't really get why. It is a great song, but I find the other 2 more appealing. *Shrug* It's all about personal taste, I guess. I'm just surprised no one at all so far has seemed to share my opinion.

Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 billie is great on drumsI've heard that, but the only times I've ever seen or heard him on drums were during Dominated Love Slave, and one other time he was just goofing off. I know Mike is great on drums too, though.
Viva La Junkpile Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 ^ Probably because it sounds like GREEN DAY xDI like Stop Drop and Roll because of it's rockabilly-esqueness xD

Well, Billie has said between guitar & drums he likes the drums better-- I've heard him do an AWESOME drum solo on some mock documentary during Warning. Mike's drum solo-- not so impressive; you can tell he was just doing whatever. *snicker*
