Billie Joe admits that he is still lyrically looking for themes. He wants to figure out what he is feeling right now which is middle aged, and has stated that "Right now it seems stagnant." Apparently the band wants to make sure that they are being honest with themselves. And if Bill is considering himself middle-aged, he should go talk to Kiedis, who just had his first kid at nearly 45...

Hopefully he'll have another Jesus Of Suburbia-esque breakthrough sometime soon :/ The whole stagnant comment also left me a bit worried...

You're not a kid, your not exactly old but you don't belong to the cool 20 somethings anymore either, well thats how i feel anyway....I hope that they're ok and find what they want/need to find.As disappointed as i am that it seems the album is nowhere near finished at least he's being honest to himself and us and not just releasing anything to appease the masses.
