Tremma Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Who really like American Idiot? Okey, it wasn't been so bad but not good.
*withoutadoubt* Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Who really like American Idiot? Okey, it wasn't been so bad but not good.I just have to say - you have to be kidding me? I really liked American Idiot. So do a lot of other people. Maybe I'm misunderstadning you?
Seabiscuit Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I think you guys are overanalizying and overreacting.
klytaemnestra Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 ^ he might be upset because of his father anniversary, but remember that it's been for about 20 years or more!it cant be the reason of his quote..oh, come on. imagine if your father's dead, would you really, truly get over it?
midlfecrysis Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 A.I. is my favorite album of ALL time, and being 46 years old, that's alot of time. If it weren't for A.I., I wouldn't have come to know of Green Day. I guess you can call me an oldie but "newbie", but I don't care. Better late than never. Since I bought A.I., I have since bought almost all their other cd's. I love their old stuff, but when it comes right down to it, A.I. is still my favorite.
piratepalmer Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 ^ Well said Mary I still play it at least twice a week - for me that's a lot for an album that's 3 years old and there's so much other great music around. It's such a fantastic piece of music. And of course, there's also Billie Joe
Mechanical Man Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Oh great, the new album has him singing about getting old. Wow. Should be pretty good. Pfff.
Sunshine2385 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Everybody on this forum is going to get old eventually and everyone's tastes is going to change. So quit complaining.

#10 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I would like that the new album was like nimrod, or dookie, that kind. More punk, i guess they are turning to another direction .. that's sadI hope it come out soon .. and whatever, it's Green Day, it's great !
Ingrid Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I wish they'd do an album full of songs along the lines of Welcome to Paradise/Jaded/Tight Wad Hill that are angrier and darker. They'd avoid making an album that just sounded like a previous one and pump some serious balls into a fucking stale music scene. I honestly think it would be the most punk rock thing they could possibly do.It's not going to happen though. So you want them to make another album like Insomniac basically, because then they'd avoid making an album that sounded like a previous one..?Yeah, that makes sense.
midlfecrysis Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Hey I know. They could team up with Akon or Justin Timberlake and do a conglomeration, with some hot girls in their videos
Queen of Dookie Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I guess it's like a writer's block. Billie just needs time to find an inspiration, and when he does, there will be Green Day as we know it.
Ingrid Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 ^ Well, you did say you wanted them to make 'an album full of songs along the lines of Welcome to Paradise/Jaded/Tight Wad Hill',and Insomniac is their darker and angrier album. No need to get offensive about it.
Letterbomber Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 bill, wait till you're about 45 to have a mid-life crisis.
123 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 This made me think about how long GD has been around for rather than the new album. Just the fact that how I am 14 and I can a find lot of their songssomething to relate to aswell as enjoy, and also thinking that people back in 1994, a year after I was born were listening to the same stuff.but I am very interested in the new stuff.
The Judges Daughter Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Dude,How did I miss this Thats great! Some solid progress and erm well they're getting there!Just keep grinding Billie..oh wait
The Judges Daughter Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 ^Why thank you,we were all thinking it though
insomniaticnimrod Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 i dont want them to do it all on piano.. i wish they would go heavier than that
Sunshine2385 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 AGAIN!! Songs are easier to write on piano than on guitar. And if they do end up doing it on piano, so fucking what?
