I've only been to two parks (Adventureland and Busch Gardens in Virginia).

Both are pretty cool and I had a great time at them.

I went to Thorpe Park yesterday, it was bloody great. On top of the rides (Stealth is a crazy roller coaster that does 0-80mph in 1.9 seconds, and a load of other ones) they built these mazes for Fright Nights, which is when they have the park open till 10pm during the run-up to Hallowe'en. You walk around in groups ina conga-type line. There were 3 mazes but the best by far was called Asylum. Inside, it was themed to look, sound, and even smell like a mental hospital. There were actors inside dressed as patinets and nurses who had loads of freaky make-up on and jumped out at you from behind corners, touched you and generally scared you. There were strobe lights and blaring sirens all the way thorugh which added to the effect. At the end, there was a 'patient' with a chainsaw- real chainsaw but with no blade on it. He started revving the thing and chased us with it. I screamed like a girl the whole way through. Great fun but so scary. I recommend it!

EDIT: Here's some stuff about Stealth:

239617619_1d5a51de7e.jpg

"Stealth is a steel roller coaster built by Intamin AG of Switzerland. The coaster is located in the Amity Cove area of Thorpe Park in Surrey, England and is the park's newest roller coaster. The ride reaches a maximum height of 62.5 m (205 ft), which makes it the tallest launched coaster in Europe and the third tallest roller coaster in Europe after Silver Star and Pepsi Max Big One. The ride originally reached speeds of around 130 kph (80 mph) in 2.3 seconds, however an upgrade in 2007 reduced this to 2 seconds. Stealth was the fastest roller coaster in Europe, although it lost this record when Furious Baco opened in 2007 at Port Aventura in Spain. The ride produces G-forces of up to 4.8g and is thought to have cost £12 million.

Upon embarking, the train rolls forward slightly and then back to hook onto the catch car. It is then accelerated to 80mph and as it nears the launch track, the catch car unhooks itself and the train carries on its journey up the 205ft tower, cresting over the top-hat and coming back down and cresting over a smaller "bunny-hop" hill while being slowed down by magnetic brakes.

On rare occasions, Stealth has had "rollbacks", where the train does not have enough momentum to make it over the top-hat and rolls back down again. There are magnetic brakes to slow it down in case this does happen."

While we were there, a few of the rides broke down while we were queueing and the had to do stress checks on them so we didn't all die. This was actually pretty good because everyone leaves the queue to go somewhere else, the the ride is back on within 10 minutes so you effectively get to jump the line.

Disneyland is just the best place I've ever been to!

They brought out a new ride a month ago called "The Hollywood Tower of Terror" or something to that effect. It's absolutely incredible!!! I would love to go to the Disneyland in America; isn't there one in CA? I'll be there in a few months! :)

I don't like them! I've affraid of trying! I get sick really quick and as it has a lot of places where you don't have your head straight, it's hard for me!

I suffer from motion sickness big time...so when the time came to try out the inevitable Space Mountain, I took 2 travel sickness tablets. And I felt grand!!! I was so happy :P

I went to Disneyland Paris a couple years ago. It was quite fun. Shitloads of people, though. Mile long queues. Space Mountain was fantastic. I loved that you had no idea what came ahead as it was completely dark.

Other than Disneyland, I've been to most of the amusement parks in Scandinavia. Most of them when I was under ten years old though, so I haven't tried a lot of exciting rides.

Did you not use the fastpass for the rides?

Maybe they didn't have that function when you went. But it's dead handy...saves the Q ;)

I wanna go back to Oakwood this summer and go on the stuff i wasnt allowed to last year (health reasons much)

I'm terrified of roller coasters.

I've been to six flags in New Jersey, a fair that comes through my area, and Disney world.

The best ride I've ever been on was Mount Everest in Animal Kingdom in Disney World, it was just amazing.

I went to Disneyland and California Adventure Park last October, They were the best 2 days of my life so far :D Also went to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure a couple of weeks later, they were pretty cool too. :)

As for Australia I've been to Luna Park in Sydney, Sea World (though I was around 5 when I went there so I don't really remember it), Movie World, and Dream World on the Gold Coast. Dream World's the best out of the Aussie ones, heaps of thrill rides (I used to get yearly passes to it all the time) but Luna Park's got some really cool Old School Rides.

Haha I think I'm a bit of a Theme Park Junkie :D

Wonderland wasn't bad when it was open, but Movieworld is my favourite Australian theme park. I went to Disneyland when I was really young, I'd love to go back there.

Went to Thorpe Park yesterday. It was quite busy we only got time to go on 2 of the big rides, stealth and rush.

I've only been to the boring ones in the UK. Drayton Mannor twice, Alton Towers Once and a a really terrible theme park at West Midlands safari park. I only go on the baby rides, because I'm not a fan of heights.

pft. we don't have any good theme parks here.

only in queensland, but that's not where i live :(
