anya. Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 oh gosh, when i read all those comments about which songs they played the best, i'm almost crying.. i've never seen green day live, 'cause of the stupid country i live in (we're WAAAY to small for them) and 'cause i'm too young (as my parents say) to go to a big concert outside my homecountry.. but most of all i love listening to their live cds, 'cause they're the best. i like king for a day A LOT:D
PasalacquaBomb Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Uhmm .. I really love When I Come Around. Minority is really really awesome live, too. And I'd KILL for hearing Going To Pasalaqua live.
For Lack of a Better Word Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 oh gosh, when i read all those comments about which songs they played the best, i'm almost crying.. i've never seen green day live, 'cause of the stupid country i live in (we're WAAAY to small for them) and 'cause i'm too young (as my parents say) to go to a big concert outside my homecountry.. but most of all i love listening to their live cds, 'cause they're the best. i like king for a day A LOT:D I'm sure your day will come, don't you worry! Sugar and spice and everything nice was made for you too!
~Ani~ Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Going to Pasalacqua is awesome live. BOBD is also great with the audience singing and the general atmosphere. King For A Day is always so much fun, though. And Holiday! Oh fuck it, I can't choose
Lyz Z Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Going to Pasalacqua is awesome live. BOBD is also great with the audience singing and the general atmosphere. King For A Day is always so much fun, though. And Holiday! Oh fuck it, I can't choose Oh God...BOBD at the actual show was awesome. My recording afterwards...not so great. All you can hear is drunk guys behind me singing awfully However, you CAN hear one of them go drunkenly "I'm gonna jump on stage, and do a nudie run!" in a really strong Aussie accent King for a Day is fantastic, always. Same with Going to Pasalacqua. I was so excited when they played 2000 Light Years away at the show I went to. Sorry for the cliche, but it blew me 2000 Light Years away I like East Jesus Nowhere live a lot, though. There's just so many energy, and the audience gets mad into it, especially when kids get saved.
~Ani~ Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 However, you CAN hear one of them go drunkenly "I'm gonna jump on stage, and do a nudie run!" in a really strong Aussie accent That would have been epic I could imagine it ~ Billie singing "Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me, 'til then I walk alone..Ah-ah, Ah-ah, I walk a..." and the drunk naked guy just randomly runs around
Lyz Z Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 That would have been epic I could imagine it ~ Billie singing "Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me, 'til then I walk alone..Ah-ah, Ah-ah, I walk a..." and the drunk naked guy just randomly runs around Gives the phrase "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" a whole new meaning I won't even go there.
Leisha-LUNA Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Ha, those BANG BANG's totally scared the shit out of me at the first gig I went to But when I come to think about it, most songs are actually at their best live. Billie's voice can get so wonderfully raw and angry, which sometimes expresses the lyrics so much better. I completely agree with you on that. Its not that I don't LOVE the album versions of their songs, but they are a bit of a let down even in comparison to just live recordings. You can hear the energy and they just sound bigger when they're live. If that makes sense...
anya. Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I'm sure your day will come, don't you worry! Sugar and spice and everything nice was made for you too! oh, gosh i hate waiting for my day! it's probably gonna be the end of the world before my day:/
cherrybomb! Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I'd kill to see them play Going to Pasalacqua live!!! everysong they play live they do justice! but my favourites have to be the classics, like Minority and King for a day, just because they really get the crowd going and there's so much energy!! oh, gosh i hate waiting for my day! it's probably gonna be the end of the world before my day:/ It's so worth the wait! it makes it even more special! " your time will come" lol
