Words I Might Have Ate

and Paper Lanterns

I never ever thought I'd see these two songs live but I did and it was incredible...I can't even describe the feeling

Yay I can change my vote from 0 to 3 now. Blood Sex And Booze covered by the Foxies is the most enjoyable performance of a Green Day song I've experienced but I dunno if that counts haha.

King For A Day/Shout is pretty hard to beat. I really really loved American Idiot at Wembley though, there was such an amazing surge of energy in the crowd, plus I got to be in a wall of death . And I got to sing along to American Idiot with Tony himself at the O2 :D. So possibly American Idiot.

It's really hard to choose though because I've enjoyed every single song so much. One thing I would say is I never realized how great the faster songs would be in particular, like I never thought Minority or Basket Case or 21st CB would stand out as being special because they're not favourites of mine to listen to on CD. But live, wow! The energy of the crowd and the band makes those songs amazing. Same goes for 21 Guns and Good Riddance actually. Again not particular favourites of mine, but so beautiful and captivating live. My list of live favourites would definitely be totally diffrent to my list of CD favourites.

When I come around, King for a day (of course), Time of your life, Viva la Gloria! was just INCREDIBLE and of course it's fuck time !!! <3 Give me Novacaine Hitchin' a ride sometimes  aaahh..seriously I cant decide.....that list would go on forever.

Holiday, King For A Day/Shout, 21 Guns (it's so powerful live), and KYE (because I was 5 feet from Billie when he ran out into the audience during this song and it's just so energetic and fun)!

Holiday. I can barely listen to the album version now. I miss the BANG BANGs and just the raw power and energy in that track when it is played live.

Oh man... probably king for a day or brain stew

Yes yes yes.

And the audience singing along, it gives me goosebumps!

I'd say Are We the Waiting or Words I Might Have Ate.

King For A Day... without a doubt... and Dominated Love Slave!

Also Holiday, Hitchin' a Ride and Brain Stew go well...

Hearing it live made me fall in love with the song 21st Century Breakdown.

Whenever I hear the intro now, I get all tingly and excited, like I'm at the start of the show all over again. And I can't help hearing Billie sing "I never made it as a working class - LET'S GO!!!"

Jesus of Suburbia. End of.

American Idiot, Holiday, Are We The Waiting and Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Hell yeah! I so know what you mean!!

Aswel as Holiday, I'd have to say Jesus of Suburbia and Brain Stew :)

American Eulogy and Jesus of Suburbia are absolutely unbelievable live.

Ha, those BANG BANG's totally scared the shit out of me at the first gig I went to

But when I come to think about it, most songs are actually at their best live. Billie's voice can get so wonderfully raw and angry, which sometimes expresses the lyrics so much better.

when its time, it was so beautiful live, i cried. oh and also 21stCB too

Holiday, Static Age, Novocaine and WICA are my favorites live.

I'll never forget the echo from the hands clapping to the rythm of the drums for Novocaine  and the lights, and odfjwsf

I'm still afraid of the BANG BANG's, in a way. I find Holiday, when it's sung live, very... ominous. Especially if you pay attention to the background of parading soldiers and the images of their graves. And when Billie starts to sing the national anthem right in the middle... It has a very... idk how to describe it... 'bitter' aftertaste.

Don't get me wrong though, I like it better that way; I think it's the way you are supposed to take Holiday in. The 'vibe' is just so completely different from the one you get from listening to the song at home or watching the music video.

After seeing it with my own eyes, I've never listened to Holiday in the same way. Pretty amazing how they can do that.
