nessa1416 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 For the record, there are some of you who even if Green Day went on American Idol to promote their own music, would say it's for a good cause.Ignorance is bliss :wink:And yes, I enjoy being a pain in the ass.

And honestly who cares what they do as long as they keep giving us good music.
Laura33 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i'm pretty sure he had the amnesty international symbol on his drums, didn't he? the candle with the barbed wire around it?Yeah, thats what it is
nessa1416 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 And honestly who cares what they do as long as they keep giving us good music. :wink:Best point made here.At least they're bigger than all of us and got off their asses to TRY and make a difference in Darfur. But I still wish they hadn't been on American Idol...
FilmAdaptation Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 And honestly who cares what they do as long as they keep giving us good music. :wink:I would, that'd piss me off.If they were just another band who went on any television spot they could get on, that'd be one thing. But they aren't, and they have made that abundantly clear throughout the years. I'd probably still listen to them somewhat, but I'd have respect for them.I'm not the biggest fan of this, but I overlook it because of the cause. In any other context, it wouldn't be the same story.

I really can. But the fact of the matter is that we have to take what we used to have, and understand that things will never be the same again. That's life. Things change. I know you get sick of hearing it, but they're not kids anymore. That ship has sailed, and just be glad you were a part of it. I know I am.I don't wanna argue with you at all, and I understand that you're just trying to rile people up, because it's funny, but just on a more serious note: I know where you're coming from. I actually was laughing along with you when I was reading your posts, because I feel the same way sometimes.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 While i understand why, you should do what they did and get past it for the greater good.

catholichornet Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Not sure if anyone wants it or already posted it, but here's the audio from the performance-http://www.megaupload.com/?d=INQCDX5I
nessa1416 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 While i understand why, you should do what they did and get past it for the greater good. Me?I'm pretty much over it. It's just that I'm sick of people bashing them, and when they do shit like this, they pretty much set themselves up to be called sellouts. I dont know if that made any sense. I'm probably contradicting myself. But that's okay.
Sanah Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Not sure if anyone wants it or already posted it, but here's the audio from the performance-http://www.megaupload.com/?d=INQCDX5I Nice signature.[/spam]
HMMbands Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Best point made here.At least they're bigger than all of us and got off their asses to TRY and make a difference in Darfur. But I still wish they hadn't been on American Idol... I agree, I wish they wouldn't have been on the show too, but I think we can get over it. It was for a good cause, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. It would be different if they were on there for a different reasons. So I'm not too upset they were on there.
Ingrid Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I just watched it... wow. And did anybody mention Billie's hair?I wanna live in there too; seems to be room for plenty of us..!
