i agree that they definetely would not be there if it werent for the good cause, and you could totally tell by their body language that they didnt want to be there. But, nevertheless, it was a really good performance, they all sounded great. I DEFINETELY like the no eyeliner and no AI theme, but i didnt like how jason got like 3x more screen time then mike. I kinda assumed that jason wasnt going to be with them that much anymore...?

Im pleased with it, tho, and i just find it funny how you could tell they didnt want to be there, bacause i didnt really want them to be there either, but it was for a great cause and thats all that matters

I didn't get that vibe, he seemed focused on doing John's song justice. They even bowed their heads at the end when his voice came in as a sign of respect. The seriousness of the performance was appropriate to the song and cause but a bit awkward in the context of Idol's cheesefest.

i agree, that's what i got from it too. i thought it was a powerful performance that suited the song perfectly

i thought it was a pretty good performance, havent seen them peform for a very long tiime, that made my day. but it was really annoying because i had to leave int he middle of the performance to lcean the kitchen, but luckily i made the end of it.

Wow, Green Day's performance was absolutely amazing. I don't regret watching American Idol tonight!

Billie's vocals were incredible (and he looked so adorable.... I kind of miss the heavy eyeliner, though).

ANYWAY...I loved it. I loved that even though they didn't want to be there and had no enthusiasm, you could see their personalities. It was an amazing performance, and I can't wait until its on youtube. When I read the news on the front page, I honestly had to take a double take. So not like them.

OMG! WOO! I knew Green Day wouldn't let me down. American Idol is still on, but now after Green Day performed, the show can only go downhill. After all, there's no possible way anything better than Green Day can happen. Unless of course Simon turned a gaint monster and the only way to kill him would be for Green Day to get back on stage and play every single song from their upcoming album. Man, that would be sweet.
