When I first saw the news I had really mixed feelings. I honestly never thought Green Day would sell out to American Idol, but I guess anything is possible. Its so nice to see them play at all, though! And it sounds like a pretty good performance (no eyeliner! thank god!!) and Billie played the solo which is awesome. Was Jason playing with them?

i thought they sounded and looked fantastic best thing idol's ever had on there, that's for damn sure! loved that they left Lennon in at the end and the way they stood during that part. and yeah, Billie's smile at the end was completely priceless!
