I think it's brilliant. I can't say whether or not it's better than the original because i'm not a huge Lennon fan to start off with. But i think they did an awesome job with the song. I like this one much more than 'Saints'. I think Saints just felt a bit over-produced, and had a lot of ego in it. It was a good song, and I like it fine, but it seemed a bit much for Green Day, and this is much much more to my liking.

I agree with you. I liked 'Saints' but there was just something about it that was just blah :/ . Good song, but yeah it was just a bit much. I do like this one though, I think this one more suits Green Day.

I'll be buying the song as soon as I get a new itunes card.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting pissed about the iTunes reviews. People are saying they are sell outs and not to buy it and spport them, but all of the money goes to Darfur, so I mean it's like no one gets the concept. I mean it's not their best song, but it atleast deserves 4 stars instead of the 3 1/2 on iTunes.

EDIT: Now people are saying that this is going to be on their next album and the rest of it will be like this. GET A CLUE PEOPLE!

Yeah, I read through about a page of itunes reviews before I realized that not many even knew it was a fucking cover song.

I laughed so hard though when several people (Just a hunch, but I'm assuming they were 12-14) mentioned how weird it was that Working Class Hero had the exact same cover as the new REM single!
