penutt Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 ahh the good old days. i felt on top of the world back then.but ever since ive liked music, ive liked green day.
catastrophic Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I used to listen to AFI, The Clash and The Ramones. I started listening to Green Day pretty much at the same time as I started listening to music.
billie6 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Oh my Dad also like Shania Twain i used to ONLY listen to Shania Twain... but that was when i was like 5.
Rebel Girl1989 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I used to be into heaps of crap like Black Eyed Peas, Missy Elliot and alot of other rap. I was fanatical about No Doubt and Gwen Stefani. And other pop. I was also into Avril Lavigne and somehow that led to rap and then one day I was like "OMG GREEN DAY" and that changed my life alot.I guess you could just say I listened to whatever was "in" until I had to do alot of growing up and whilst doing so I discovered Green Day.(1000th post!!)
green godess Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 In the 80's i was heavily into Sex Pistols and loads of other punk bands, in 88 i found Guns n Roses and since then iv'e been listening To Guns n Roses, Guns n roses, and a bit more Guns n roses and sometimes i top that up with Nirvana, Iron Maidon Linkin Park MCR and of course Green Day... and a few others
Barley Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 i used to ONLY listen to Shania Twain... but that was when i was like 5.He's 40 and that's all he listens to, now that we've lost the Joshua Jadison tape
Smithy14 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Before Green Day I listen Linkin Park,Good Charlotte
billie-joe-geek72 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 life before green day ... was no life at all that about sums it all up!
Mr. Smee Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 When I was really little I listened to Shania Twain and John Denver, then Hilary Duff, then Good Charlotte and Avril Lavigne, then Green Day
my GREEN pen Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Nothing. I used to think music was a waste of time and sports was the way to go. Now I hate sports and love music.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Life before green day? I dont remember it.
chickin'pickin' Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 that about sums it all up!no it doesnt, it seems very lame to me.
fev5 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 When i was really little my Dad used to play Pulp and Oasis alot and i liked them. Then i really liked Steps!!! and other bands like A1 and 5ive. Then i was mad about Busted for a while and then it went to Green Day
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 All i ever heard when i was little was pop. I was major into popbands when i was like 11/12, i even saw Britney in concert....then i grew out of it, and got into 'soft rock'...then eventually Green Day which led to loads of other similar bands. I don't really listen to any of the stuff i listened to before Green Day now.
Dai. Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 *thinks*I wasn't really a BIG music fan as I am now, but I remember being an Evanescence fan way before than becoming a Green Day one. I like Evanescence since 2003 and Green Day since ..2005.Ah, and I think I also liked System Of A Down and Marilyn Manson before Green Day.*I still like all the bands mentioned above.
hardtoconcentrate Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Wow before Green Day...I was 12 when I started liking them so I loved bands like Boyzone and the Spice Girls...then Oasis and then it was Green Day
LouLou Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Before Green Day I was strictly country. That is all I would listen to, nothing else, then I heard a Green Day song and it changed my whole point of view.
jesus.of.suburbia Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 hmm... i dont know a "before" green day.. because they change my whole life. bevor them i don´t listen often to music. but with green day all change. i read the lyrics. i write my own songs, i try to understand the songs, even they made me better in english. if i would see them i would kiss all of them because of them i know that only a few words (rage and love) can descripe your life. they "teach" me to think about many things...
chickin'pickin' Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 why? A life without a certain band is no life? thats rather pathetic and sad, im afraid....there are bands out there, just as good if not better.
Billie... Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 actually, Green Day was the first band that I ever "liked." Before I listened to them, I didn't even care about music! Now I'm obseesed (with GD AND music)Same here. I didn't even like music that much and then, all of a sudden, I listened 22 hours a day and started playing the guitar. Now, two years later, I'm in a music school... And... I hate it! I mean the classical music we have to play all the time. But Green Day kind of keep me going
freakyprincess Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 actually, Green Day was the first band that I ever "liked." Before I listened to them, I didn't even care about music! Now I'm obseesed (with GD AND music)i'm the same case..
