HMMbands Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 i unfortunately use to listen to those retarded boyband pop crap. that was back when i was in grade school. i plead temporary insanity. part of the time off and on ive listened to a little bit of country. all my family except my dad listens to it and its big where im from. but that was all before high school. for awhile when i was in grade school i didnt listen to anything really. once i was in high school i started to listen to bands like green day and some other bands and i have for the past 6 years.
bat-chen Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 the coolest band ever to live: The Backstreet Boys and Evanescense.I also was in the Backstreet Boys but other of them, I didn't have a particular band that I like before Green Day... I listened to all the genres of music - hip hop, dance, rock, pop and more. I still do but now I'm in more punk pop and punk rock bands
novacaine* Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Before them, I didn't have musical preference. But now, I can't live without Green Day
bob caluya Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 i didnt listen to music i just read books and did what my friends told me to do.
mmmcrazypills Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Good Charlotte was my favorite band. I was also quite fond of evanesence.
Mrs_Billie_Joe_Armstrong Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I started to become obsessed with Green Day like three years ago (still am, obviously) But before that...I was obsessed with Simple Plan. *shivers*. I can't even listen to one of their songs now, I can't stand it lmao.I also listened to Avril Lavigne. Before that, I listened to what everyone else seemed to listen too...Bands like N*SYNC and Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears...I swear if I ever listen to one of those CD's again I will become suicidalxD
day1_9 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 blink 182 and a few others but they were the main group i liked
Holes Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Well, lucky for me when I was 2 I went to see family in Brisbane and It just happened to be 1994 and the world was Green Day Crazy, and my uncle was 14 at the time, so obviously was obsessed with them like every other teenager on the planet, but I really liked When I come Around, and still do, so he copied it off his dookie album onto a tape (only that song!) and I still have it, although it sounds like shit cause it's so old. But where we lived at the time, we only had 3 tv channels and on saturday mornings me and my big sister would watch rage (a music show that's still on) and i remember me and her dancing around and playing air guitar to all the rock songs. We also liked the spice girls but i never got into boy bands as much as she did.
Camila =) Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 The New Kids on the Block.I guess many of you weren't even born or probably have never heard of them.PS: I still listen to their music. I have the Vinyl. Old stuff.
InternationalSuperhits! Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I didn't have much of a "life" before Green Day. I listened to the oldies station a lot (and still do) because that's the only decent music on the radio, in my opinion. Then my parents bought me two Beatles albums, which sort of started to get me into bands, one of which was Green Day. So even though Green Day aren't my favorite anymore, they were one of the first bands that introduced me to other music.
Whatsername868 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I didnt have much of a music life before Green Day. I used to LOVE 3 Doors Down, then I discovered GD, which led me to discover more music and then BAM! Im now hooked.
woahinez Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I didn't really have a music life. They are the ones who opened the doors to a whole new world.
likeahandgrenade Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 haha, i used to listen to good charlotte before i really got into green day
She-Loves-Him Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Ummm... Like others, I had a poor excuse of a music life or hardly one at all. My iPod was full of mostly dad's CDs plus Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys and all other bad music. I'm definately not ashamed of that
lost_rock_star1972 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Um...The Bealtes, Blink 182, Oldies...and just random stuff that my brother played for me.
xthe Grouchx Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I never really liked a band before Green Day, just songs in general. Green Day changed my whole perception of music around. They were the first band I was a real fan of.
Cerry Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Standard 7 year old in the mid 90s stuff...backstreet boys, spice girls, aqua, all that tacky pop crap. But i'd kinda been listening to green day since i was about 4, cause Dad and my brother both liked them. It wasn't until i was about 10 that i actually like green day as such, rather than some of their songs, though.
lost_rock_star1972 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I never depended on a band before Green Day
Alex Ash Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I guess not really eny thing cuase i m so young but my sister gave me an old spice girls cd and then i got a bunch off others i couldnt remember but i started liking good charlotte about 5th grade and the song your pretty fly for a white guy but i cant remember who sings it but beatles and bob dylan was played alot and pink floyd or led zeplin i think mabe a little clash and ramones and sex pistols here and there but my mom is a country fan and like i remember i was almost 10 or 9 and my mom made me watch rocky horror picture show creepy!! that was some what torture and this year she s taking me to theaters during halloween to see it so wierd but i loved grease so punk rock to pop to country to alternitive green day showed me one way to a fun safe minority where the music didnt have to be clean and the insperation was real so green day told me i had a choice to be me or not and i followed the music now im learning to play guitar and can be myself!!!!!!!!!!!
RegularDecoratedEmergency Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 No punctuation, not even a period was put into that entire thing. Since you're basically a 7th grader and still young, I'll cut you a little slack but just type well and legibly enough for people to take you seriously. No one likes someone who types like that.
One Lite 1 Mind Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 What just about everyone else did... boy bands!
LouLou Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I used to listen to country and then I listened to Green Day and it changed my whole outlook on music. I still listen to some country but not very much. They opened my eyes to a whole new world of music anad I owe so much to 'em for that
stjimmysgirl221 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 i listened mostly to 80s stuff and old but i wasnt really into music, i mean i liked it but i wasnt into it, Green Day the first band that i really like A LOT, i still like all the same stuff but Green Day got me obsessed with music.
