I didn't really listen to a lot of music before Green Day came into my life. I just didn't LIKE much.

There was Owl City, I liked him cause he was a bit different. I also liked the All-American Rejects, and that's pretty much it :P

After I got into Green Day, I got into other, better stuff. So (I'm saying this for the millionth time) THANK GOD FOR GREEN DAY!

I listened to Amy MacDonald..and some of the stuff on the radio which I now think is shit =P.

i pretty much still listen to the same bands i used to listen to before i got into Green Day, but i listen to Green Day mostly, well all the time really. I used to be totally obsessed with Tokio Hotel for a while (cringe) before i really got in to Green Day, but i have wised up and started listening to all those people who told me that Tokio Hotel were crap. But yea Bullet for My Valentine, Iron Maiden, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Avril Lavigne, Guns n Roses, Metallica and the likes, i listened to them all before i got into Green Day and i still do, just not very often lol Green Day have taken over my musical life :P although i have actually been listening to Green Day for ages, i grew up listening to them, thanks to my brothers :), but only within the last year did i become a totally obsessed freak :P

Well I first heard Green Day's Boulivard of Broken Dreams like 6 years ago, and around that time I listened to a lot of cheesy pop music. :) Atomic Kitten, Christina Augleira, Hilary Duff and omg, I loved McFly!!

 Thank god for Green Day.

I was really into the All-American Rejects and Linkin Park. I still like them, but Green Day is my all-time favorite band now. I would be so lost without them!!!

I discovered Green Day when I was like 6 and started liking them when I was around 8.

(^ My dad got Dookie when it came out)

I listened to the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls of course. ;D

Terrible music. Life before Green Day just seems so dull now.

mainstream music... I was trying to branch out because I knew there was better stuff out there. I didn't find any band that stuck until green day!

I used to listen to whatever new music caught my interest on the radio or music channels, I also had a good mix of older songs due to my Mom... there was a lot of linkin park on my ipod at one point though... A few months before I got into Green Day I started getting more into Aerosmith due to a live version of Dream On that blew my mind, which had me going through my Mom's CDs. Then I got into Green Day and my music taste changed. With my Mom's CDs and Green Day influencing me, I started really getting into bands like ACDC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Clash, the Rolling Stones, and so on. Green Day are actually the newest band that I listen to... :P

Gorillaz and Madonna :P

A lot of others actually, but they used to be my favourite ones

I was all into the Pop thing... so boy bands. And then I thought I was real cool and switched over to Good Charlotte, Avril Lavinge, Simple Plan and MCR.

Just no.... at least that phase in my life did not last long at all. Took me just a few years to realize that I listened to shit music...

And then I had a phase of classic rock too. I was just all over the place, man.

Then Green Day came along.. and I never looked back. They also introduced to me what Punk truly was and many other legendary bands.

When I was very young I listend to whatever my older sister did, so a lot of pop and some local bands.

Then when I got a little older, around nine or ten I got really into classic rock.

without green day i deffinitley wouldn't have gone further into punk music and i would have a totally different out look in life. they helped me find a genre that i can totally be stoked about no matter what. and if i didn't have green day i would have this empty side of me that i wouldn't know what to do with. they just give me a little hope that you can do whatever you want in life and have fun

Well, I've had the same kind of music taste for about 4-5 years now. So it's all simillar stuff. Before then... hmm.... I'm not really sure. I wasn't really old enough to appreciate and/or listen to good music.
