Other than that, I never saw why people got so hyped about music. My friends got me into things like They Might Be Giants (still awesome), but I had no true "taste."

Then came the beginning of 8th grade, and everything changed.

Without Green Day, I would be a complete loser who never got out and did anything with her life, take chances, etc.

I listened to whatever I heard on the radio, on tv, or other random ways during class or something. The only music I knew then cause of that, were the pussycat dolls, gwen stefani and justin timberlake. I didn't like the mainstream or pop stuff or whatever you wanna call it, it just didn't catch my attention.

Thank god I saw When I Come Around on tv pretty soon after I started watching MTV music more, and after that saw the BOBD video.. That's pretty much where my life started, lol. It's the first band I put on my mp3 player then and listened to them all the time. I discovered music, became obsessed with it, and I found music I actually loved as well, like the Living End, the Clash, the Who etc.

actually, Green Day was the first band that I ever "liked." Before I listened to them, I didn't even care about music! Now I'm obseesed (with GD AND music)
