I've always been into music, from Adam and the Ants right up to now; I don't want to bore you so I won't go into details but I guess the bands that stand out are the Ants, The Smiths, That Petrol Emotion, Husker Du, the Manics, Nirvana, the Foos. At the moment my favourite bands are Maximo Park, Fields, Gossip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs - and of course, Green Day :D

Metallica, Prodigy, some groups from my country, radio,(hip-hop(BEP) :pinch::sick: )

I was a Bon Jovi & Sex Pistols fan, before I fell in love with Green Day, which was about... seven-ish years ago.

Blink 182, Sum 41, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte... of course, this was basically right before Green Day. Before that I listened to *Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, Britney Spears, etc.

My dad has always been a huge influence on the music I listened to. And he still is, just a few years ago I started finding bands I liked on my own terms as well.

But when I was growing up I listened to a lot of my dad's music, which was all excellent. Mostly TMBG, REM and the Clash. All of whom I still adore. I just have some more variety in there.

I used to love Avril Lavigne. But now she's gone all lameified. And I was an Evanescence freak

Huh. I try to not remember those times :-D.

But... as I remember it was Avril Lavigne and shits like that :-D.

Well when I started listening to Green Day, that was when I was just starting to listen to music..

but I think Eminem was the ~first.

I didn't listen to much music before Green Day. Linkin Park was my favorite band, but I really liked Sum 41, Audioslave, Staind, Chevelle, Good Charlotte, Story of the Year. Pretty much whatever my brother was listening to from 2002-2004. Plus bits of Nickelback and Avril Lavigne. And it kind of goes without saying that I grew up listening to The Beatles because of my parents.

Needless to say Green Day really opened me to the world of...better music.

i remember being like 8 or 9, and all of my friends loved that whole 'boy band' era

I dont remember if i actually liked that music, or if i just listened to it 'cos i thought it was the only music out there :P so i'm not really sure....but i know i don't like that music now

I didn't really listen to that much music before Green Day 'cause there was no good music on the radio. Although I used to listen to quite a bit of Robbie Williams 'cause my mum had just about all his CDs. But the first group I was ever a HUGE fan of was Hi-5 (a group that sings little kiddy songs and had their own tv show in Australia) but I grew out of them when I was 7.

Before Green Day i listened to bands like The Geuss Who and Great White. Before Green Day i was also a sweet, nice little boy that never got in trouble or anything. Now, well for fucks sakes look at me haha.

Shit, that was 17 years ago. I've always been a huge Guns N' Roses fan, and a big Tool fan. Those were the main bands I listened to before first hearing GD at 12 years old.

Before Green Day, I was fairly obsessed with pop music. Mainly the Backstreet Boys, omg. But yeah, just stuff like that.
