I got really happy when I read that. three albums worth of songs! wow they've worked super hard. I can't wait to read more info.

how much would you count one album for, then?

i'd say about 15 songs.

some bands these days only have like 11 tracks...such as panic...supernova...i hope there'll be like two cd's to this, like a two part thing that nelly did...you know like his "sweat" "suit" thing...don't ask how i know that, before i discovered green day last year i was INFATUATED with rap/hiphop (not no more though lol)

Even if it doesn't top American Idiot in sales, I'm sure it will be as good, or even better, than American Idiot. And for those of you worried about it not topping American Idiot, just think, Dookie was like AI, and had a ton of sales, and they've made great albums after that, so I'm sure this one will be great.

And even though the album won't be out for a while, I'm glad to get any kind of news about the new album.

Its good that their working on new material, but as I read in another post I would rather have one great album then three bad ones still I look foreward to the new songs

Yeah....I would hate for them to rush it and then the album tanks....but hardcore Green Day fans wouldn't care, we'd find something great about it.

Thats an article about American Idiot's release, thats around the same time that lookout first released the remastered version of 39 smooth. Relax, thats old.

Also, as for the double album idea; Nimrod was going to be a double album at one point, but they decided to 'narrow' it down to the amazing 18 song collection it is in the end. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again.

triple and double albums can be really boring if they're just 2-3 regular discs. i know that you want the most new music you can possibly get, but 2 or 3 discs is just too much at once. i once read that within every double album is one excellent single album and the rest is filler.

if they did it like the early november or foo fighters where one disc was faster paced, and another was slower, maybe more acoustic that'd be cool. except that early november album sucked ass.

i hope it isn't a rock opera. let the who stick to that.

That was from 2004. It was talking about the gap from Warning to American Idiot, which was roughly 4 years.. That was written in January of 2004. American Idiot was released in September of 2004. Why would they be talking about an album to be released AFTER one that hadn't been out yet?

That artical had NOTHING to do with what they are working on now, at all.
