spark in the night Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 hm ok as I look at the flab againI think it's not a flab after allthat like his normal weight but then he's clutching part of the blanket which is covering the black jacket making it look like he's got a rolldamn optical illusionsand dammit no fat rolls
Guest n o n a m e* Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 nooooooooooo!well, that ruined the rest of my day.
Dearly Beloved Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 The biggest difference between the two pictures is that Yoko and John's photo's were taken in an authentic enviornment that wasn't really promoting anything other than peace. Adie and Billie are selling clothes.I think the idea is cheap, but the photo is genius. If that makes any sense.
spark in the night Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 well technially, the photo isn't selling clothesthere is no sign or logo of any kind in that photo that represents Adelinethe only way that we would know it was about Adeline was because of that article in the magazineif it was just that picture standing alone, it would just look like a picture of Billie and Adie

SARAH-ARMSTRONG Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 i find it kind of weird how this is the first time billie has taken photos with his chest showing.i dont really see why some of the people are trying to imply that he's doing it to sell Adeline stuff.but im not going against it either.does anyone have thoughts about this?
Dearly Beloved Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 There is nothing wrong with analyzing the picture like everyone is. Photographs are art.
Ali Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Ok so, crazy idea, but maybe, just maybe, he looks like he has a fat roll because of the way is is positioned.

IliveforBillie Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 i'm beginning to get suspicious...we haven't seen shirtless billie in a few years i wonder if he's hiding something
ChemicEmotions Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Oh wow, she's wearing a slip and he's showing some of his tattoos-- not really that "out there".

It was bound to happen sometime..Oh wow, she's wearing a slip and his chest is showing-- not really that "out there".Its not out there, but the photo is gorgeous. It is well shot. Definetly.
spark in the night Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 he peeks his chest everytime he plays Wake me up

Acadia Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 not to everyone sex sells.yeah, but i'd buy their product
Ali Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 he peeks his chest everytime he plays Wake me upYeah and at the concert I went to, he un buttoned his shirt, in a stripper like way. So, I mean, its not like he has never ever showed his chest before...
Dearly Beloved Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Regardless if its a picture of Billie and Adie, I think it's completely stupid to compare them to John Lennon and Yoko Ono.Firstly, John was in a band called 'The Beatles' Billie Joe is in 'Green Day'point finished. Yoko Ono was an avant-garde artist in Japan before she met John, and a pioneer to punk rock at that. I just don't like it when people try to take something so historically authentic such as John and Yoko's bed in for peace & recreate it into something cheap and not as brilliant.I mean, everyones saying that Sex is what they're trying to sell. I think it was more of an attempt of projecting the image of Making Love, rather than saying that Adeline clothing = sex. The problem with that analogy is this, love isn't lust. Sure, John and Yoko made love, and weren't at all private about it, but they were holding hands in bed, writing songs, and smoking cigs -- no makeup. There was nothing glamorous or sexually provactive about it. It was fitting for the time, and it made sense.Adrienne does indeed look beautiful, I just wish artistically, it could have been a bit more original. I could be completely wrong about this. Whatever though.
