My dad would be 70 so i doubt very much he would of liked them,on the other hand im a dad of three and its my greenday stuff they play

He doesn't even know who they are .... he (and my mom too) listen to 70's years music

Im not a teen, in fact Im in my 30's but my stepdad likes Green Day. He's just burned out on them like everyone else in the family cause I play them so much. He even had me burn a copy of AI for him. He's still a rocker after all these years. I think he prefers Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters though cause he always buys their stuff when it comes out.

My dad likes old bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, so he's not really into Green Day.

my dad's the reason why im into green day...he's a fan too..just not all crazy like i am.

Posted

i would hate that only because i'm too immature to openly admit i may like some of the same music as my parents

my dad listens to Kasey-fucking-Chambers! *crys* She sounds like a cat being murdered! he doesn't even know who Green Day are! he's only 5 years older than them! why can't he like them! damn!

My dad will put up with Green Day most of the time.. but if I'm siiting in the front seat of the car and Green Day comes on the radio and I turn it up, both of my parents will turn it down.

But if I have it blaring in my room its fine...

Though when I play the CDs in the car and Billie says "fuck" or "shit" or basically anything else my mum'll be all "I hope your brother dosen't hear that!!" even though he obviously does if I have it blaring in my room.

My dad listened to Green day before I did!! I remember when I got my firs GD album (Int. Superhits) he told me: "Does it have when I Come around and Basket Case" and I asked him "How the fuck do you know those" and he told me that back in 1994 he had borrowed Dookie from a friend and that those songs where great, so he still remembered them...

Why is it so bad to say fuck or shit?

"well, who inspired Green Day? that's right, the Oldman Brothers but still, Green Day's the worst band ever". *pulls gun out*.

My dad likes Green Day, even though the old metal-head won't admit it. I found "BOBD" on his mp3-player right after Björk.

:lol::lol:

It isn't bad...That's why Fuck'll be my kids first words :P:lol:

My dad likes Green Day...he's seen them live more than i have (gives me something to aim for :) - won't be hard though :) )

My dad's an old school GD fan. They used to be his absolute favorite band. He made me listen to Dookie when I was younger. Crazy..

Thats what I wonder.

But my brother's only six.

My Dad likes some of Green Day's songs, rather more calm ones. Like Waiting, Macy's day parade and Good riddance :)

Ny dad always tells me "you guys (the young generation) are trying to recreate all our old songs".

i feel like the kid on the charlie brown show listening to the teacher... "woh wah wah, woh wah."

^^ Hehe, I've given to my Dad a copy of American idiot and he's taken it to his car, and now he's kinda forced to listen to it :P Once he said me "You know, the longer I listen to it, the better I like it" :D

the best moment of my life was when my dad was working for green day and we were standing in the mosh pit and he was hugging me as we sang along to jesus of suburbia (that's my dad's favorite song). so my dad totally loves green day along with me. it's awesome.
