He would talk about bands from "his time" (the 70s) and I'd be like "Oh, I love that band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" My sister thinks Im weird for moving "backward and not forward" and my Dad would be like "in order to go forward you have to move backward" and I dont get it but whatever. He likes Green Day, but only some of it. He also listens to bands I listen to, and when he likes it... Expect it to be playing in the car 24/7. Apparently, this has happened to Green Day, Taking Back Sunday and Panic! At The Disco. But sometimes he listens to really slow and boring stuff from the 60s and I wont be able to get into THAT.

My dad doens't like Green Day but he does. He likes Blvd. of Broken Dreams and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) and that's basically it because he doesn't like it that they curse so much and I say "Well you curse too!" But he says that he doesn't want me hearing them curse. That makes NO sense. But I like older bands more so my dad and I listen to alot of older bands.

And he LOVES Green Day - and my chemical romance! Instead of saying 'they're not as good as the clash' he says, "oh, i like this, you can hear their 'Clash' influence" he's also said he's glad there are bands like GD and MCR because they havn't sold out, they have fun, and they care about thier fans.

They can fuck off if they think I'm paying that much. I remember 3 years ago when I used to pay under £10 for a ticket to see them play in theatres. Pffft.Anyway my Dad respects who I listen to. He doesn't say anything bad. He got me into music like The Beatles and The Carpenters though...oh and Queen.

Actually, he sings along with certain songs. My mom likes GD, too. She says she loves Billie Joe's voice. Yay for them!
