I know about that thread, but now the news has been officially confirmed by greenday.com. In that thread people were discussing it as a rumour not a definate thing.

Since it says that it will "raise money to buy instruments musicians lost during hurricane katrina" so, that will involve money some way or another. I'm guessing it'll just be a single.Gahhhh..... New singles and songs are released a lot. I wanted something a bit out of the ordinary, I was expecting an actual "surprise".Oh well, I'll take what i can get.
