Kaddi. Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I don't wanna imagine things like this And I think it's very hard to tell, because they had so much influence on me and on music in general. Just imagine... without Green Day there wouldn't have been a punk revival, bands like Blink 182 and Sum41 probably wouldn't exist... so many things would be different. And for me personally... no, I don't wanna think about it, I'd probably still listen to all the shitty stuff that's on the radio
Radioactive1 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Woah, that'd be weird.I mean Green Day didn't introduce me to music. I listened to music for a while before I heard of them but I probably wouldn't have got into the music I love and depend on so quickly if it wasn't for them. It'd be pretty horrible if they didn't exist though

Morgaine Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 you should use this :off: but still, i had too Nooo I couldn't have used that one, since it suggests I'm angry, while I'm certainly not
waninko Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 If GD didn't exist, I wouldn't be listening to them. And I'd probably still be in my "over-obsessed-with-Bad Religion-phase". Not that that was a bad thing.
badwolf Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Nooo I couldn't have used that one, since it suggests I'm angry, while I'm certainly not they should put one that says off topic but with a smiley face like this
Morgaine Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 they should put one that says off topic but with a smiley face like this ... or this:
amy_runs Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I know for sure that a lot of other bands wouldn't exist. And I would spend my time doing something else instead of being on here. And I would probably still listen to bands like N'Sync and Aaron Carter Thank goodness for Green Day.
Hermione Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I would still be listening to rap, plus a select few bands. As opposed to now, when I listen to Green Day and rap, plus a select few bands . So I'd still be very happy with my music.I would've missed out on adoring a band as much as I do though (plus all the other fun stuff that goes with it), I don't think I ever would've felt the same about another act as I do about Green Day. I certainly never have before. And I would've missed out on all those amazing songs and lyrics that've made me think about and question so many things. But if they never existed I would be blissfully unaware of that, so it wouldn't matter.
Ila Reto Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I've thought about this before- and somehow or another i dont think my life would be the same. as cliche as that sounds. i'd still be trying to get into rap & country music. i would have missed out on everything this band had to offer me.i wouldnt have gotten the courage to speak agaist somebody- to stop being as much of a doormat.i wouldnt have dressed like some weird gothic hooker thinking it was "punk", and then go through an attitude change that left me with a stronger personality and wanting to do things my own way.I wouldnt have the same friends- oh wait, i would. they dont like green day anyway. OH! i wouldnt be as open with the internet. Green Day made me use the internet more. i joined my first fan club and made my first online friend, which opened the door to me living my life online and making friends (and other complications of "Fink" and whatnot) on the internet. i came here to break away from talking to completely random people (yes, there is a difference), met all you wonderful people, and the rest is history. I definately wouldnt be recognized on Y!A and youtube. GDC would have no meaning to me. my trip out west this summer wouldnt have been as memorable if FHT wasnt my summer soundtrack. i wouldnt like techno music if it wasnt for The NetworkI wouldnt have liked Josh last year in band (who reminded me of dookie billie's appearance); i wouldnt have gotten my heart broken and i wouldnt have had realizations of how life and the way things work out would be like. i wouldnt have gotten 86ed from band because of reasons involving josh.and i would never have met steven because he had the same little qualities of the guy that i liked 3 years ago that got me into green day. so ultimately, all those little things add up and made me who i am now. tah-dah!p.s. Jay, i probably would have liked MCR too. because i had a choice between Green Day and them (one song from each on a disc) and i decided to further this obvious choice (although i still own the black parade...why not? i dont listen to it anyway).
Teenage Kicks! Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I'd act black.O_oCorrection! I'd be like ant other sterotypical black chick. There we go.Or...I'd just be a loser. wait...to late for that.
Ayame Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I wouldn't have spent approximately $200 on Green Day records, posters and such.Neither would this thread exist.
Ila Reto Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I wouldn't have spent approximately $200 on Green Day records, posters and such.Neither would this thread exist.hah, yea i wouldnt have spend a bunch of cash on CD's (then other coppies of the CD's), random merch, posters, etc. i definately wouldnt have been an ebayer looking for interesting unique green day things (which reminds me, i need to start going on ebay again). , and you were the only person on Earth that knew about them?!hah well also, that's pretty much the way i've felt for the past couple years anyway thank god for the internet, i wouldnt have known that there was still people out there who liked them!
**nobodylikesyou** Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Man, if green day didn't exist I'd have to like MCR and Blink 182. They both suck or are split up
Guest Billy Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 i would cry... quite a lotbut you can still have me!
