they opened the doors from underground to mainstream

they were the leaders after Nirvana collapsed

so without Green Day those bands may not have sounded the way they do today

everyone is influenced by others some way or another, they're inspired to be by their surroundings

every one else instead of being a individual and going my own way.

honestly, id probly be different. they havnt directly changed me, but they were the band that really really got me into music, which got me playing guitar, which made most of the friends i have.

They wouldn't exist. I wouldn't actually know anything about them or what I was missing out on. But I would probably be much different than I am now. I wouldn't be as open minded as I am now and most likely would have ended up as a real girly girl. Although there is the possibility that I stiil would have my awesome taste in music and still like Metallica and Queen etc.
