I'd prefer not. I was going to at first, but any decisions I made seemed to have some sort of tempermental provocation in reply. I figured it'd be best if I just let you guys work them out by yourselves. Democracy at it's best.

"Are you trying to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally for the response to your next album? No matter how wonderful it is, you're going to be ripped to shreds because (1) it's different from "American Idiot", or because (2) it's similar to "American Idiot." In other words, by making a masterpiece of rock (AI), you've put yourselves in an almost no-win situation with the following album."

- To me, the way this one is worded is a bit like, "Hey, you're making a new record and we're all expecting you to fail miserably because it won't be as big as American Idiot." So here's my suggestion as to the wording..

You guys are doing fine. You still have over two hours to figure out the final list. Plenty of you are qualified to know what is and isn't a good question, and so far you guys seem to have some sort of momentum going. You guys just need a little more input instead of just one group of a few people deciding everything, cause then those of you not participating will be the ones bitching afterwards because you don't like a question thats already been asked.

Anyway, you're making it sound like I shouldn't have a right to be pissed off-- nobody was doing jack shit about this, so Me, Rebel, MDA, and Tedifer actually did something about it. But that doesn't matter anymore.

I like the question the way I wrote it. I wrote it that way intentionally because I'm sure they fully expect what I wrote to happen. It does not imply failure, either. It implies that it will be hard to live up to the success of the last album because it was so extraordinary.

I know, but it sounds really negative. The way Whatsername re-worded still had that same impact but less negative.

It's not like I was doing it to piss anyone off, I was doing it because I didn't agree with the way it was written - and we're here to give our input. I wasn't meaning to make it sound like it was written horribly, it's just the way I read it and it sounded kind of harsh. And I think that we need more people giving their opinions because now it's just the same people.. we need more so that they're not all fussed if they don't like the final questions.

I guarantee they won't think it's harsh. It's realistic in the music industry today and I think they'll appreciate it.

Well to settle this so we can move on, as Parley's last reply said - I think if we edited it with the last sentence the same as she originally had it, I think it would be good. But we don't have to worry about the wording anyways.
