VictimOfAuthority Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 platypus was about an english writer that bashed the hell out of him with something he wrote and they all used to be really close . . .
Christie Roadx3 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 1)(to all of them) Does any of your family listen to you?2) When you go grocery shopping or things like that, do you think twice about going out, do you think about people taking your picture or asking for autographs?3)When you go out on tour, will you play more stuff from 39/smooth and kerplunk? you have just seemed to not play any of those songs for a long timei really like the first two..
Iselilja Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask why we barely can tell any difference between their shows during the AI tour, it always annoyed me that they didn't trouble to be more spontaneous seeing I'm sure they're able to do so. Or something like that.
TreCoolisGOD! Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Oh, another one I want to know is what the fuck is Mike's nationality, since he was adopted?
Fuck'em all! Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 fuck! it's so hard to come up with a question :/
Guest Star Named Sun Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask them how it feels to turn into what they hated before - sell outs, shitty secondhand band that put on a secondhand shows and speak only what record companies want them to speak
Inane Kiss Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask them how it feels to turn into what they hated before - sell outs, shitty secondhand band that put on a secondhand shows and speak only what record companies want them to speakno.
Guest n o n a m e* Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Do you ever watch perfomances of yourselves and how do you feel about them? oh.. i like that one
dumpunk87 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Since the guys are huge Beatles fans, I was always curious; For Billie Joe specifically; John Lennon once mentioned that he was a songwriter who happened to play the guitar and who happened to be able to sing. Would you consider yourself a songwriter who also just happens to be able to sing and play the guitar?Random questions for the band; 1) You meet your soul mate. However, there is a catch: Every three years, someone will break your soul mate's collarbones with a Crescent wrench, and there is only one way you can stop this from happening: You must swallow a pill that will make every song you hear--for the rest of your life--sound as if it's being performed by the band Alice in Chains. When you hear Creedence Clearwater Revival on the radio, it will sound (to your ears) like it's being played by Alice in Chains. If you see Radiohead live, every one of their tunes will sound like it's being covered by Alice in Chains. When you hear a commerical jingle on TV, it will sound like Alice in Chains; if you sing to yourself in the shower, your voice will sound like the deceased Alice vocalist Layne Staley performing a capella (but it will only sound this way to you.)Would you swallow the pill?2) At long last, someone invents the 'dream VCR.' This machine allows you to tape an entire evening's worth of your won dreams, which you can then watch at your leisure. However, the inventor of the dream VCR will only allow you to use this device if you agree to a strange caveat: when you watch your dreams, you must do so with your family and closest friends in the same room. They get to watch your dreams along with you. And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR. Would you still do this?3) Let us assume you met a rudimentary magician. Let us assume he can do five simple tricks-he can pull a rabbit out of his hat, he can make a coin disappear, he can turn the ace of spades into the joker card, and two others in a similar vein. These are his only tricks and he can't learn anymore; he can only do these five. HOWEVER, it turns out he's doing these five tricks with real magic. It's not an illusion; he can actually conjure the bunny out of the ether and he can move the coin through space. He's legitimately magical, but extremely limited in scope and influence. Would this person be more impressive than Albert Einstein?Yeah... I read those questions once in a really good book and I figured I post them. Something different.
Guest Star Named Sun Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 oh.. i like that oneThey don't watch their performancens - it's embarassing
st.billie Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 bleh i this is what i came up with after 10 mins of thinking, i'm stupidIs there any band which you toured with that you didn't particulary like, either musicaly or as a product of their personalities/ behaviour? (and i know they wouldn't answer that, they are nice guys nowadays)
Queen Of Lies Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Will you ever bring back good old songs in concert like Going To Pasalacqua into the main set list, so your fans of older stuff can enjoy a classic instead of jsut doing one at a random show???????You've said during the american idiot tour that it has been the best, but besides that what tour have you had the most fun on?
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Do they let their children use the internet, and if they do, are they worried about some of the things they might end up reading concerning the band?
Ringo Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Yay! 1. How do you guys feel about the whole "teenie" and "teenybopper" stereotyping? That's goes around especially on the internet? Older fans will label the younger fans as a "teenie"2. If the other band did not steal the cover of your original album, do you think you would have gotten as far as you did?3. Do you think that a lot of fans had turned their back on you when you made the American Idiot album?4. Have you guys thought about the new album? Do you think you're going to make a story line like you did with American Idiot?5. Why doesn't Mike wear any eyeliner? Green Day is aweeeeessssooommmmeeeeeee!!!!! Lol i couldn't think of anything better for the 5th question. But I've always wondered.-Vikki
st.billie Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask why we barely can tell any difference between their shows during the AI tour, it always annoyed me that they didn't trouble to be more spontaneous seeing I'm sure they're able to do so. Or something like that.yeah they should be asked that, though i doubt they'd answer
EhhScrewIt!! Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 iIposted a question yesterday but it was faggish and I couldnt find it to delete it, SO these are my questions:1) First off i've always wondered how you all find the inspiration and the right words to write songs and express yourself? I've always really envied anyone who can write things, whether its a speech, lyrics to a song, a book etc, that move people. Make them want to stand up for what they believe in, fight for what they think is right and give people bigger dreams to strive for. I think Green Day as a whole really does that.2) Did you guys ever think you would come this far? going from being just a normal kid like any of us to Rockstar Superstars? Did you ever think, or want to be for that matter, an inspiration and a model for kids and adults around the world? How do you handle that pressure, or do you not think about that as much?3) Have you ever gotten tired of the press coverage, People wanting your autograph thing like that? Do you think the press does a good job in portraying your personality's? Billie Joe being the cocky, fun loving, family guy, Tre being the more obnoxious horny wild one, and Mike being the one who keeps it all together, calm and collected sweet natured one, is any of that somewhat true? 4) Do any of you wish the whole being a rockstar would stop. That you could go back in time and be 'nomal'? What do you think you would be doing now if Green Day hadnt made it to the top?5) And for my last question, do you guys think you'll be able to top off American Idiot? After that album being such a huge success is there better things to come? After all wasn't it Billie Joe who said that "punk rock is dead, and i fucking killed it." Can one of the greatest bands around known as Green Day bring punk rock back and get people excited about it again?
Iselilja Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 yeah they should be asked that, though i doubt they'd answerglad you agree. and really, you guys don't think they would?
Kauri Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I have a question, for billie, and its kinda personal for me as well as him; what advice would he give to some one who has lost their father?~Kauri~
'On My Own Here We Go' Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 What about.....................................................................Who Would You Rather Be: Space Cowboy Or Musician?
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask them how it feels to turn into what they hated before - sell outs, shitty secondhand band that put on a secondhand shows and speak only what record companies want them to speakif that's the only input you have, what are you doing here?Seriously, they don't have to do this, and you want them to end up defending themselves?
eastbaypunkmafia Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 When was the first time you guys smoked pot?
saurus Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 OK I know I've already posted but I just thought of another one (its quite dumb probably but I just thought of it)Do you ever regret "changing" your music style - ie SOSH couldnt be more different to AI - so do you ever regret it or always think that it was a change for the best? (because the change dramatically changed your fans - the "older fans" tend to dislike AI in comparison to the other stuff (from what I've heard anyway) and you've gained loadsa teenies who consider themselves fans - and by that I'm not saying they aren't - im saying they tend to look at GD from a different perspective)Edit: Oh Oh Oh Oh - I thought of one!!! What happened to D.U.I? or Where is it? or Anything about it you could tell us?(sorry peeps - it's just I've heard that it was meant to be on Shenanigans - if I sound dumb I'm sorry - I'm just trying to be clever )
**nobodylikesyou** Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ask them how it feels to turn into what they hated before - sell outs, shitty secondhand band that put on a secondhand shows and speak only what record companies want them to speakSomeones having a bad day. Seriously if you went to any of their shows last yr then you already know that the performances they put on were not second hand. I think Billie already answered your question in walking contradiction. How do you deal with the pressures of being on the road for two years, living up to everyones expectations (family and fans) and the pressure of being megafuckingsuperstars?
rebel chick Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 1. What do you guys do in your free time (when you're not doing band stuff)?2. Are Mike and Tre currently single?3. What are your favorite memories in your rock 'n' roll career?4. Do any of you use any type of instant messenger?5. If each of you had one message to the world, what would they be?When was the first time you guys smoked pot? This one rocks
